So like the title says, my free trail for Dropbox plus ends in June 20th(which is today) and I forgot to cancel yesterday June 19, I subscribed to the trial through my iPhone on the App Store so today June 20th at 1:30am(which was the time I remember I had to cancel😅) i canceled my free trial hoping I wasn’t charged. As I cancel the trial I noticed that my account still has all the Dropbox plus features, and when I checked my account it said my free trial was still active, and when I went to my purchase history at the App Store, there’s no billing invoice from drop box and I haven’t received a receipt from the App Store saying I was charged. Can you guy let me know what’s going on? Was I charged? Does my free trail end at the start of June 20th? Or at the very end of June 20th which is 11:59pm?36Views0likes1CommentMoving from my subscription from Google Play to the App store. How can I do this?
Up until now i have paid for dropbox through the google play store app. I am moving to an iphone. I have set up the drop box app on the iphone but Apple does not have the google play store app. I have cancelled my subscription on google play store, and hoped to be able to set up payments via the dropbox app on the iphone, but there is know where that allows me to do this. Please can someone advise?45Views0likes2CommentsBilling issue caused my account to downgrade even though iTunes payment was successful
I had a payment issue with iTunes that I finally worked out yesterday, but apparently itunes and dropbox are now out of sync and I can't get Dropbox to acknowledge that payment has been made. When I try to restore purchases to sync the account up, I get this error: "Unable to Restore Purchases. The operation could not be completed. NSURLErrorDomain error 409" Please help.45Views0likes1CommentI've been paying for a monthly Plus plan since 2018, and have never received the storage space.
I have multiple accounts and had pretty large files, so I honestly just assumed that I ate all the storage when I kept receiving the storage full starting in jan 2020 (likely bc I hit the 2g) and I needed to keep what I had on the cloud so I just left it alone. I never thought to check and see if the plan was still showing free. I also thought in the times where I saw a free account that the paid account must be another email. It wasn't until today when I looked at reducing the plan, I noticed in ios there are two Plus Monthlys so I wanted to see if I could find out exactly what I was paying for since I've been out of storage for so long. I logged into the account that I receive the receipts to ( my apple id for app store ) and that account only had 2g so i logged into every other email address I have and ALL of them show basic plan. Furthermore, I went back through my emails so I could see exactly when this all started and realized each of the other accounts gets an email of its own stating their boxes are full so the paid account had to be the apple account. I tried going to support but because it reads my account as being free, I cannot connect to a person. I've calculated this out - Starting in March of 2018 I was getting charged $9.99 plus tax - that continued until Jan 2023. The amount paid for March 2018 - Dec 2022 not including tax was $569.43. Jan 2023 the price increased to $11.99 per month plus tax. Since Jan 2023 I've paid $347.71 plus tax. This brings me to a total of $917.14 plus tax where I never received the product I paid for and have no way of contacting the company to receive help. If you have a suggestion please let me know before I contact a professional.128Views0likes15CommentsChange country in app store, breaking my subscription
Bit annoyed that I’m not able to just contact support because I’m not a ‘plus member’, even though I am and have been for years. Recently moved back from New Zealand to the Netherlands, which is super annoying with the app store and this has been a whole nightmare in itself. You need to let all your subscriptions run out before you can change this, so I did. After waiting for a month for all my subscriptions to end, i still couldn’t change since apparently Dropbox still required me to pay 20,50nzd for, idk, the month of April, maybe May? it doesnt say. Did that. changed countries. Now my subscription is still not active. In the appstore under my subscriptions it says it ended 25th of July 2024, which is super weird, because Ive been using it and paying for it up until now, so thats not correct. I just already paid for this coming month, as far as I understand it, so why isnt it active? Dropbox, super annoying that Im not allowed to contact you about issues with my subscription because of course i automatically got downgraded.93Views0likes9CommentsI received a message that I have two Dropbox accounts with the same Apple ID and I see no upgrade.
I paid to upgrade but the upgrade never appeared on my account. I tried again and I received the message that I had 2 accounts with the same Apple ID ! The money has been taken from my account but still no upgrade. I only have one DropBox account so cannot resolve the problem. Zero customer service with Dropbox when there is a problem.Solved93Views0likes8CommentsI changed my iTunes Plus plan from monthly to yearly, but my Dropbox account is now Basic.
Initially, I had a Dropbox monthly payment plan, but I canceled it in January and switched to the annual Dropbox Plus plan. I have a receipt confirming the successful payment. However, I recently noticed that the app is unable to charge my card and is prompting me to update my billing address. I reached out to Apple Support, and they confirmed that my monthly plan was canceled and that I purchased the annual plan. Despite this, my attempts to speak with a live representative at Dropbox have been unsuccessful. Moreover, my account now appears to be on the Dropbox Basic plan instead of the annual plan I paid for. Last night, I finally managed to chat with a representative who advised me to refresh my purchases, but I encountered an error when doing so. The agent informed me that she did not have the tools necessary to resolve the issue. Given that my account has been downgraded and customer service options for Dropbox Basic are limited, how can I get the appropriate assistance to rectify this problem?94Views0likes4CommentsApple App Store subscription upgrade not activating
Hi all, I'm stuck between Apple customer support and the complete lack of customer support at Dropbox. I've had a Dropbox Basic account for years and needed to upgrade to Professional (monthly) to get additional features. I did this upgrade through the Apple App Store as I can not do it through Dropbox.com since I first set up the Basic account through the iOS app. However after several days of trying (and repeatedly trying the 'Restore purchases' feature in the Dropbox app account settings) I still am stuck with the Dropbox Basic subscription in my account. I've reached out to Apple for help several times but they are only able to cancel the subscription and refund the money. Do I have any other options other than delete the account and start again with a new account through Dropbox.com? (if this is the only option I will be deleting the account and leaving dropbox for good...) Really appreciate if anyone can help. Thanks105Views0likes7CommentsI paid for Dropbox Plus via Apple, but my Dropbox account remains as Basic.
Hi, I’ve subscribed to Dropbox Plus and billed through Apple for many months, and recently been noticing that I’m out of storage. It seems that Dropbox is not recognizing my account as Dropbox Plus. I reached out to Dropbox customer service who pushes me to Apple to resolve the issue, and Apple pushes me back to Dropbox! Can anybody suggest what I can do? Thanks in advance!43Views1like1Comment
