I am on the latest iOS and Dropbox for my iPhone 13. Dropbox 324.2 and iOS 16.4.1 I noticed that it was going forth between 5 and 4 photos left. There is plenty of room in dropbox. Nothing has been uploaded. I followed the instructions mentioned here https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Storage-Space/Photo-backup-on-iPhone-isn-t-working/td-p/515471 for clearing the cache and rebooting. Still have the same issue and it won't give it up. Problem also exists backing up via cellular. Problem also persists after full delete and reinstallation of Dropbox on iPhone.Solved28KViews10likes42CommentsCan adult content be uploaded legally to Dropbox?
Hello, The terms of use are a bit vague, so I need some more clarification please, particularly in layman's terms. If someone writes erotica (their own), and uploads to Dropbox to share to an 18+ audience, can they do so? Same question applies to those who have made their own amateur or professional porn videos Same question applies for amateur/professional porn audio (recording masturbation, etc.) Same question applies for amateur/professional porn pictures (nudes, photoshoots, adult models, etc.) As long as the porn is not illegal (aka includes minors, animals, those who cannot give consent, etc.), and all parties involved in the MAKING of the adult content are 18+ and consent, can they still upload and share their adult content? Thanks for the help!Solved100KViews9likes2CommentsHow to get started with Selective Sync
Welcome to the Dropbox Community forum! We're thrilled to have you on board, and we want to make sure you get the most out of your Dropbox experience right from the start. Today, we're going to talk about Selective Sync. What is Selective Sync? Well, selective sync is a feature in the Dropbox desktop app that allows you to remove specific Dropbox folders from your hard drive so you can save space on your computer. You can remove the Dropbox folders from your computer without deleting files; the folders you remove from your hard drive remain stored in your account on dropbox.com How to use selective sync Note: To use selective sync, youâll need to have the Dropbox desktop app installed on your device. To choose which Dropbox folders to store on or remove from your computerâs hard drive: Open your Dropbox desktop app preferences. Click the Dropbox icon in your taskbar. Click your avatar (profile picture or initials) in the top-right corner. Click Preferences. Click the Sync tab. Under Selective Sync (Windows), click Modify or Select folders to sync to this Mac (Mac), click Modify. Check the folders youâd like saved on your hard drive. Uncheck the folders youâd like removed. Click Update. What is the difference between selective sync and online-only? Making your files and folders online-only also helps save hard drive space. These files and folders will still be visible from your computer, but are stored in your Dropbox account online. Based on how you use certain files and folders, they can automatically be set to online-only. That's it! Now you can save valuable space for things that matter most to you, and learn how other Dropbox features can improve your day too! So, what do you want to see from us? Video files ( possibly photos too ) get renamed on automatic upload from the phone to Dropbox. There must be a really good reason for Dropbox to rename files and I'd like to hear it. It's very annoying because the file names are perfectly fine the way they are and so I can keep track easier for missing files, innterrupted transfers, moved files and so on. It's a mess with video files especially becuase: - Phone writes the video file with date time at the start of the video ( that's what it should be ) - Drobox renames the file with date time when the file was closed ( finished recording ). So, can we please not mess with my video files names ? Thanks ! video, file, rename, date, time, metadata, offset, unnecessary5.2KViews7likes5Comments"Camera Uploads is disabled by your admin" error on iOS
So... i think there is something wrong with my dropbox ios app. It worked fine until about 2 hours ago. I have alread logged out, install/uninstall, power cycle the phone, everything level 1 helpdesk has been done. Yes, i have space, the account is working fine from the notebook. For example the screenshot upload from windows is fine. Both dropbox app and ios are the latest version. I'm not part of a team, never have been.Solved718Views4likes16CommentsWhy does DropBox rename photos based on modification date rather than creation date?
Previously, DropBox renamed camera uploads based on the photos creation date (EXIF: Date/Time Original). This makes sense because you want the photos to be name-sorted based on when they were taken. Now DropBox renames camera uploads based on the modification date (EXIT: File/Modification Date/Time). This makes no sense because the files are now out of chronological order when sorted by name. â â6.3KViews4likes26CommentsIssues with Camera Upload
Iâve been having issues with my Camera Upload feature in my IOS Dropbox App. Usually when I open the app on my iPhone X, Dropbox will start locating the photos that it hasnât uploaded yet and start uploading them. Now, it just reads âStarting camera uploadsâŠ.Looking for photosâ but nothing ever happens. Iâve tried closing/re-opening the app, deleting the app/re-installing, updating my IOS, deleting other photo cloud apps (Google Photos), and even upgrading to Dropbox Plus. None of these attempts have help solve my problem. Does anyone have any advice?7.6KViews4likes45CommentsTell Us How You Use Dropbox
