28 TopicsCan I export the entire "camera uploads" folder to my device?
I've already search online and here but I can't find a solution. I've deleted by error the "camera" folder on my android phone (S23 Ultra). I still have all photos in the dropbox folder named "Camera uploads", but when I click on the "..." of the folder and "duplicate" I can't find the phone's folder to copy again the files on my phone. I've found online also that I could use the option "Save on device" but unfortunately I don't have that option :( The only option I get are: - Share - Manage access - Make available offline (enables) - Remove from Special - View in folder - Rename - Duplicate - Move - Delete Can someone help me to restore the folder on my phone ??? Hey everyone, I'm having quite the conundrum. For a few months, my iMac has been having space issues lately. So I've been uploading large video files, syncing, etc, to my dropbox, I pay for the large space TB one. THEN I deleted them, hoping it clears my space up on my iMAC. Somehow, a day or weeks later the storage that was temporarily cleared APPEARS right back, though not necessarily apparent to me in the same folders. But the space is TAKEN back again. I stopped autosyncing to dropbox in february due to space functionalisty issues, imac notified dropbox I was low on space and that it was best to conserve energy/storage. EVEN though I'd been deleting the files that I l uploaded to DROPBOX after they'd finished uploading... Anyways, YESTERDAY my iMac had 1GB remaining of space, crazy YES, I know. I decided to stop editing on my iMovie, which was barely working and delete the DROPBOX folder and the extra video files by placing them in the trash. I ONLY place those two things in there and press DELETE/EMPTY TRASH. It loads, showing how many files are being loaded and time remaining, then it shows TWO dropbox segments deleting. The number goes from 1,000-5,000-then over 200,000 files, that I DIDN'T even know my computer had on it... It won't let me click off to stop the deletion... then my DESKTOP gets deleted, I can't even screenshot because the desktop doesn't exist ANYMORE to save a screenshot on it. Then my download finder folder is deleted and has a ? mark in it's place. I couldn't even download files from my emails, because downloads did NOT EXIST anymore. Why would APPLE allow DOWNLOADS and desktop to just be DELETED?? I called apple and email dropbox for help. I restore some of the files partially with an iMac backup in my DROPBOX. Suddenly downloads finder folder is back on my iMAC but ONLY allowed with dropbox permission now. Also all my iMovie videos are gone and show empty blank blue and grey icons or screens, I can open them, but NOTHING is in there. I've tried to restore my photobooth library, it's in the dropbox cloud, and it wont let me click on the icons to even add them to be reconnected as a library. I talked to Apple Support AGAIN today, nearly an hour, and they said that it's a dropbox developer issues at this point. ALLEGEDLY. Has anyone every experienced this? I'm sad and need my files back, of family, my YT videos and more are all gone. Any advice? I need it. Thanks.63Views0likes3CommentsHow can I hide photos from the Photos tab without deleting them from Dropbox?

I have deleted all my connections and I still get this message. What am I doing wrong? I just want to download everything and move to another service. I find dropbox far too complicated nowadays. I have been trying for weeks to get my stuff downloaded. I want to delete some files in dropbox to make it smaller first but it wont even allow me to delete files.65Views1like5CommentsDeleted Dropbox but didn't restore space on local hard
I downloaded the Dropbox application, synced a folder and realized it actually stores the files locally. I understand now what I didn't before. However, after unlinking my account, deleting the application and the Dropbox folder, I still have not reclaimed the 70GB. Any idea why that is? macOS Mojave ThanksSolved3.3KViews0likes5CommentsUploaded newer version of a file, but seeing the old one
Had this occur before. I have a saved file called (say) "Book" dated May 2023. I delete it from my Dropbox. I then upload an updated file, also called "Book" but dated January 2024. This must be correct because other people access it. I then later access Dropbox on my tablet. It shows the old file dated May 2023 which does not exist and not the new file. How can this possibly be?Solved1KViews0likes4CommentsA Simpler Way to Delete and View Photos
I often want to clear out unwanted photos on the Dropbox app, but it’s so cumbersome just to delete a photo that I quickly give up. In the main view the photos are too small to see any detail, but if you click on the photo it takes steps and scrolling to delete, which makes deleting one photo take too much time. It would be nice to have at least one more view option with photos about 2-3 times bigger and any easy delete option.920Views0likes4CommentsWill files downloaded from Dropbox, remain on my hard-drive if I deleted them from Dropbox?
