Dropbox Paper
7 TopicsEnable Emoji in file names.
I use emojiâs to help me find things quicker. I would like to add an emoji from the apple keyboard to the file folder name but when I click on rename and add the emoji it says âinvalid folder name...the folder name contains invalid charactersâ. Here is an example I wish to change âVehicles and DOTâ folder to say âđVehicle and DOTâ36KViews96likes32CommentsOption to download/print the list of tasks using filters in Paper
It would be of enourmous help to be able to download and/or print the list of tasks using filters: by selected dates, by selected documents and by selected persons. It will make Paper more helpful and even more productive than what it is now.894Views1like4CommentsCan I choose to see the file name and path of Dropbox photos that I've uploaded to my Paper doc?
I would like to be able to see the file name of a photo file that I have added to Dropbox Paper, and ideally also to track a thumbnail back to the Dropbox folder where the original photo file is stored. This feature would ease our workflow considerably when collaboratively selecting photo material from different Dropbox folders for a future publication.134Views0likes2CommentsSPARQL & Turtle syntax highlighting in Dropbox Paper code blocks
Many of the Dropbox Paper documents I write contain code blocks whose contents are in either SPARQL or Turtle. The readability of these blocks would be greatly increased if the appropriate syntax highlighting could be applied to them. It would therefore be terrific if SPARQL and Turtle could be added to the list of options in the language menu for code blocks.108Views0likes2CommentsHide completed tasks in body of Paper doc
The aspect I love most about Dropbox Paper is that it enables me to view my project as a whole with the level of detail I need in table form, with multiple to-dos and sub-to-dos nested within the table itself. The latter is a feature I havenât found elsewhere. Task management and the task sidebar are also great. I use a single table for the duration of my projects (several months). Though necessary to retain history after to-doâs are checked off, after a while, completed tasks take up too much real estate. It would be extremely helpful to have a toggle view to hide completed tasks from the body of the doc. This would be the case whether the to-doâs are in a table or not. My workarounds so far are to: 1) Delete the completed tasks individually. This is tedious, and I potentially lose info I need later. 2) Copy and paste the completed to-dos to a different column at the end of my table. This is time-consuming, as to-doâs nested in tables canât be dragged. 3) Copy/paste my table into a new section and archive the old one, then #1 above.94Views2likes2CommentsCreate a new Paper doc from/with a Paper template file while in Dropbox online
Currently, a user can create a new (blank) Paper doc and create a new Paper template by selecting the white "+" (black background) next to the search field. It would make sense to add functionality allowing a user to create a Paper doc from/with an existing template here as well. With the recent changes to Paper, templates are not nearly as valuable, and this would restore some of the value as well as be a piece of very complementary functionality to the actions already present.51Views1like1Comment
