Camera upload from different phones into different folders
Hello, I have created a new folder "Camera upload Karla" where I want my wifes iPhone to automatically upload photos to. This seems not to be so easy, as Dropbox on a phone will only upload to "Camera Upload" folder. Is this correct? How can I make her iPhone upload automatically to the new folder? The ignore folder feature is not working.
I can confirm that I'm seeing the same behavior that cabreu described: ignored folders don't get synced BUT the dropbox app continues to monitor them anyway and performs some level of processing whenever files are added/removed/edited from inside ignored folders 😩 Unfortunately this all but defeats the purpose of an "ignore" feature for many of us. We need dropbox to truly ignore (i.e. do not react to changes within) certain folders to preserve system resources.9.4KViews5likes28Comments
How can I find the total number of files in a folder?
Boy, am I disappointed with Dropbox. I assumed that each folder would display the number of files in that folder, without me jumping through all kinds of hoops. This seems not to be the case, however... Did anyone come up with a nifty solution to this problem?Solved45KViews5likes25Comments

How do I share a folder so the members can add but not delete files/folders?
I need a folder that can be shared with my team. I need one original folder that keeps the updates with the members but I don't want them to be able to delete original documents..?! Is this possible? I have tried with sharing the folder .. either we both have the same authority over the documents, or they can not add anything.. The other choice was copying the folder into the teamfolder - though now it is not updating the original folder with the info from members...!! Hi! I am getting familiar with Dropbox because one of my clients uses it. We need to organize files by both folders and tagging. I can't figure out how to tag. All of my searches indicated Dropbox didn't support tagging in 2014 (!), and then maybe some support for desktop app and/or photos. I can't find anything for 2019 or 2020 other than coder stuff. Anyone who is not a coder able to tag files in Dropbox with cloud version?
