Cannot delete an old folder from my file explorer
Windows 11 I have an old folder downloaded to my PC that i cannot delete. The folder was downloaded from a shared dropbox for a project and I've been since removed from the online version of the folder - having just the files in my PC. When i try to delete the folder it ask for admin rights, even tho I am the only admin and also made sure to check the needed acces from the property panel, security tab.Automation won't apply to existing files. How can I achieve that?
I have a directory with a very large number of files (several thousand) that I only access online. All of the files have names based on their date of creation (eg 2025-07-01-7:00.txt). I would like to organize these into subdirectories based on their date. From the dropbox website, I added an automation to sort these files into subfolders based on the month of file creation. I clicked on "Apply to existing files" when creating the automation. However, once the process starts, I get a Notification: "Automation will apply to new files added to (Folder), but not to existing files" Why isn't it applying the automation to existing files? How can I organize the existing files? There are too many files to do this by manually clicking boxes. Thanks.
Give us better tools to organize our folders.
Hey how about y'all give us some more options for organizing our folders. The three that you have are basic and honestly suck. Seems like a pretty simple thing to do and it doesn't take much digging on the internet to find out that people are pretty dissatisfied with the lack of options. Come on now it's 2025. I've been with you guys for a while but y'all need to catch up or I'm switching. ✌️
Edited files in Dropbox are down to 5 or 6 KB. How can I restore them?
I have identified over 50,000 of my Dropbox files have been altered or changed from standard file size to 5-6KB. Restoring them 1 at a time is brutal. I've checked deleted and they are not there. The only method I can use is More... Version History Restore. Is there a better way to be able to restore mass or bulk? The files show as edited which is odd considering they've not been edited from original file size to 5-6KB. I've attempted to use filter by date range, still no luck in locating them. Only option I have is file by file manually.
