There's no option to remove the Dropbox for Outlook add-in on Windows 11.
Hello, I'm trying to remove "Dropbox for Outlook" Addin from Microsoft Outlook (new, lite version) running on Windows 11. It should be as easy as clicking "Remove" from the "Manage your apps" setting, but it's missing for the Dropbox add-in. Desktop version of Dropbox used to be installed, but was uninstalled. Macros have been blocked for my Excel files.
Hi We got problem activating Macros in Excel when opening files from dropbox. Excel has a messages in the top saying that Macros has being blocked. Application Affected Excel Device Lenovo Legion Operating System Windows 10 Dropbox App Version v231.4.5770 Issue: Recently, when opening Excel files on my Dropbox path (these files are also saved offline), Dropbox has been requesting that I log in to Dropbox from within Excel (a pop up appears). Doing so created a variety of issues (macros no longer being permitted to run, changes to files not syncing), so it is seemingly superior for me to NOT log in to Dropbox from within Excel. However, by not logging in, the popup appears every single time I open an Excel file. Apart from being annoying, this is also causing me issues when attempting to read and write Excel files from Matlab code. How can I permanently prevent this Dropbox login popup from appearing in Excel? Some things that I have tried and/or implemented that have NOT solved the problem: - Turned off "Show Dropbox badge" in preferences - Turned off "Show Dropbox in Microsoft Office as a save location" - Uninstalled and reinstalled Dropbox on my computer - Removed Dropbox as a "Connected service" in Excel - Removed Dropbox COM add in in Excel settings Thanks in advance.Solved683Views1like7Comments
I'm getting an error in Microsoft Exchange when saving an attachment
Yesterday (05/12/20225) I started the Dropbox professional subscription trial. I had the free subscription prior to yesterday's move to the professional subscription. When using the Dropbox MS Exchange App to save an email attachment I'm getting the following error message: "Something went wrong. Please reload the add-in." However, I'm having no problem using the Dropbox MS Exchange App to share a file to an email that I'm creating. I'd like to be able to use Dropbox MS Exchange App to save an email attachment. Please help, I am in a HUGE panic. As of this morning, my Android Microsoft mobile apps no longer open my more than 1000 Dropbox files. I cannot save a newly created Microsoft file to Dropbox either. I have always been able to open and save my Dropbox files in the Android Microsoft apps (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel , etc) on my Pixel 8. I can no longer open files. Here's the message I get when I try to open a Dropbox file from within Microsoft Word: "Can't open file. [file name] is stored in an unsupported server location." If I try to open a file from within Dropbox, I get an error message that reads, "Can't complete task. Something went wrong. Please try again." I was initially able to open files within M365 Copilot, but I just started receiving the same message and I can't view any of my files. When I tried to connect a different Dropbox account, I received a message that said, "Access blocked: dropbox's request does not comply with Google's policies." Please note that the apps are all updated. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the apps in addition to restarting my phone. I'm no longer able to edit documents in Word/Excel on iOS
I’m using a basic account on an iPad mini and have had no problems over the years opening and editing documents in word and excel. I recently switched to the newest model (7 with iOS 18.3.2), updated Dropbox, word and excel, restarted the tablet and am continuously being asked to activate Microsoft 365 to edit documents. I’ve tried just entering my Hotmail info which has worked in the past but it says subscription not found. My Dropbox account is showing in word on the left hand side as an other storage option and I can view and open all of my documents but can’t edit them. How can I fix this?685Views0likes21Comments

Hi I am trying to open an Excel workbook via Dropbox on my S24 Ultra so that it will save directly to it. I go through the log in process for Dropbox in Excel and I'm getting a message saying "Access blocked: Dropbox's request does not comply with Google's policies".
