Does deleting a member delete files they uploaded to our Team Folder?
Question or Issue I'm using Dropbox Business with access for 3 users. We have a Team Folder containing material we have all uploaded and all need access to. One of our team is leaving so I want to delete this Member from our Dropbox. Are files that person uploaded to the Team Folder still visible and available to the rest of the team, after I delete the member? Hi, I am the Admin/owner of my personal Business's Dropbox and I shared my entire Dropbox (all files/folders) with another firm and now I can't remove my folder from their Dropbox account, and they are now paying for the storage of the files in my Dropbox, and so am I. Plus they are now having to authorize every client/person I want to grant access to my Dropbox folder. I am trying to gain control over my folder and remove it from their account. I joined a Dropbox team and now all my files are shared with them
I joined a professional team and it gave them access to all my personal folders and files. I didn’t realise that joining a team would do this, I assumed my folders would still only be accessible by me. I deleted the folders but when I tried to permanently delete the files it said I do not have permission. I do not have permission to delete my own folders and files????? I was invited to join a team, but I want to get my individual account back.
I had a personal subscription plan with 2 TB earlier, and one of my clients has added me to their Company DB account recently. This is my 2nd time that the Admin of that company has deleted my account from their and now I cannot get my old files since I have re-registered with my email (xxxxxxx@gamil.com) to try to get my files promptly. Now I have a brand new account with 2GB of space. I have already requested to add me to their company account again, then I can leave it by myself after restoring my files, hopefully. My entire Dropbox account has been deleted after sharing with another user.
I joined another Dropbox account for a project, and unshared after the project was over. This appeared to just permissions system, but now all my files and folders have been deleted. After looking at my payments, it appears my last monthly payment was refunded. I'm not sure what the hell happened, but it appears my whole account was erased and I'm losing my mind on how this could have happened. Did I transfer my account over to a different user? Is this even possible? I need to restore my files and don't see any way to access anyone by phone. Any help would be appreciated!166Views0likes3Comments
I accidentally joined a Dropbox team and I can't leave it now or delete my account.
Hi, I was just invited to join a dropbox team. The invite was sent to the email address that I use for my personal info, etc. I thought nothing of it as I just thought we'd have a shared folder or something, but it turned out it pulled all my stored dropbox info into this team. As a result, I quickly tried to delete all my personal files. It's moved them all into the trash, but it's saying I don't have permission to permanently delete them. It's also not allowing me to delete my personal account or leave the team. An attorney we are working with invited us to share files, except they accidentally invited us to join their team. Now we are stuck merged and they can only "suspend" or "delete" our account (they deleted and we lost everything, able to restore thankfully). We are unable to leave the group either. Transfer ownership of files from a disconnected user to the whole team
Hi. I need your assistance please. I am trying to move some files from an admin's personal account to our Team folder so that all the users in the organisation have access to these files. The folders are owned by a user who has been 'Disconnected'. The user has not been 'Deleted', so I don't seem to have access to the 'Manage files' option to transfer ownership of these files. As a result, I can't move the files. I am an admin of the organisation, trying to do some cleanup! Is there any way around this? Please let me know if you need any more info.
