Hi there, I absolutely hate the feature "Suggested from your activity". I would like to see a checkbox in settings that allows a user to disable that permanently and have the cleanest possible view of file(lists) and folders. The "Suggested from your activity" feature always shows my family photos or, like today, a preview of my tax form. Whenever I open dropbox in the office to browse my files, all my work colleges can see these previews too. The icon that hides it, is only remembering the setting as long as one does not delete cookies from the browser. At our company, it is policy to delete cookies every day at the end of the day. So this "hiding" setting is pretty useless for me. More over, please make it possible to have a clean, minimalistic UI without all the fluff, super big blue buttons and "easy access" helpers. Some people don't need it. It is distracting and disturbing.27KViews82likes52CommentsHide folders from Photos tab
I have a lot of photos in my Dropbox, both edited and raw/unedited files. It would be great with the possibility to hide certain folders from the Photos tab so that e.g. all of the unedited raw files doesn't show up in between the final versions. Also, this would allow hiding folders with other image files that you don't want in your photo collection. This could either be some right-click folder property, or it could be done by adding e.g. a .dropboxhidephotos file to the folder.304Views14likes8CommentsNeed more increments for playback speed in audio files
Would like to see an additional playback speed increment for playing audio files. I proof audiobooks and sometimes the speed at 1.0 is too slow, yet the next increment of 1.25 is too fast for this purpose. 1.10 would be most helpful!438Views5likes8CommentsDropbox new organized photo experience
I already use Dropbox as my main place to store and back up all of my photos. I intentionally donât keep photos on my phone to avoid using device storage, so everything lives in Dropbox. The challenge is that my photos are now scattered across many folders, because folders are currently the only way to organize them. While this works for storage, it makes it hard to browse, rediscover, and enjoy my photos the way I can in a native Photos app. What I would love is a dedicated Photos section inside Dropbox that treats photos as photos, not just files in folders. What this Photos experience could include: A Photos tab (separate from folders) Automatically surfaces all photos stored anywhere in Dropbox Folder structure stays intact in Files, but Photos are unified in one view (or maybe we can select which folders will be part of the photo section Date-based browsing View photos by date taken, not upload date or folder location Easily see: All photos from a specific year, Months, days, or events This would let me access all photos from one year in one place, without photos from other years mixed in Map view If photos include GPS metadata, show them on a map Ability to zoom into countries or cities and see photos taken there This would make travel photos especially easy and enjoyable to explore Filters and smart views Filter by: Date range, Location, Media type (photos vs videos), Smart groupings like: âAll photos this yearâ âTravelâ âFavoritesâ Gallery-style experience Clean grid view with zoomable thumbnails, Date headers, Album creation without needing to reorganize folders This would allow me to keep using Dropbox as my primary photo storage solution, while also having a modern, intuitive photo browsing experience, similar to native phone photo apps, without relying on phone storage. Since many users already store large photo libraries in Dropbox, a native Photos experience would unlock much more value from content thatâs already there124Views4likes2Comments2-page / Book view for PDF's
It would really be great to be able to view PDF's in "Two page view" like on Acrobat. It makes it much easier for clients to review documents intended to be read/viewed in spread format WHILE KEEPING THE ACCURATE PAGE NUMBERS. Yes, as a designer, I can export a document in spread view, but then the page numbers will be off (i.e. the spread of pages 4 and 5 are combined and appear as a single page 3) and can make communicating about the document complicated. To see what functionality I am talking about, please open a multi page document in Acrobat and go to the View --> Page Display options as shown in my included screen shot.104Views3likes1CommentTurn Auto Play off for audio Files
Please add a way to stop audio files from playing instantly, as soon as you open them. On the Dropbox app, using an iPhone, the minute you open the file it starts playing. If you have previously played that audio file and paused it half way through, you can't stop it from playing in time to take it back to the start. We use Dropbox for our choir and keep our backing tracks and sheet music together. During a performance we need to make sure all the files have been returned to the start and we can't have them ready to go to press play.148Views3likes2CommentsHyperlinking to a certain page in a PDF file via Dropbox
Hi, It would be fantastic to be able to send out a hyperlink, to a certain page in a PDF. I have tried using hyperlink=#page=15 (for example) and a number of other approaches all unsuccessfully. This would be a really useful feature for dropbox. It would save me so much time. Thanks,330Views3likes3CommentsPlaying audio files consecutively in the mobile app on iOS
I donât know about you, but I Dropbox to store many things, including audio files. Iâve been trying for years to get Dropbox to add at least away to play multiple files inside a folder. Currently, we can play 1 track at a time and we can loop that 1 track. However, weâre not able to play one track after another or to loop several tracks inside one folder. The excuse is always that dropbox is Storage cloud service. I still believe that it would be a great feature to have so that way I donât have to use a third-party app. In my humble opinion, I think it would highlight and take Dropbox to a whole new level. Anyone else here would like to see these features? I hope so. cheers, claudia569Views3likes9Comments
