Hello, I work for a company that provides two-way radio programming software downloads for our end-user customer base. We have multiple links on our Dropbox but only one is giving us an error. The following is what we're receiving after re-uploading the software to Dropbox: Can't Share File Error in call to API function /2/sharing/create_shared_link_with_settings: Sharing is restricted How do we resolve this issue? We need this fixed ASAP as it is effecting our day-to-day business needs and resources.105Views0likes3CommentsHow to receive large files (around 120 GB) from a client with a free, Basic Dropbox account?
Hello everyone, I need to receive about 120 GB of files from a client via Dropbox. However, I suspect the client might only have a free Dropbox account—or maybe doesn’t have one at all. I know that using the “File Request” feature only allows uploads up to 2 GB per request. Could anyone advise the best way to receive such a large amount of data smoothly under these limitations? Thanks in advance for your help!29Views0likes1CommentCan't share files. "We’ve interrupted your sharing activity" error.
I work for a company that provides healthcare courses (the photos in the presentations may be the issue) but we rely on sending dropbox links to delegates on our courses and I keep getting the following: Can’t share file. "We’ve interrupted your sharing activity" error. For some reason can't share my files anymore — getting error: "Error in call to API function /2/sharing/create_shared_link_with_settings: We’ve interrupted your sharing activity because your files might contain phishing content." how to solve this issue? how to contact customer support? I NEED this sorted as fast as possible as it is effecting my business.30Views0likes3CommentsI can't share content for the last week, due to one .pdf and Support takes too long to reply.
i have been blocked from using my account for a week and support only answers one time per day (in the middle of the night in the US). Apparantely, they scrubbed my system (over 111,000 files) and found ONE LINK inside ONE .PDF (from 2022!) that they didn't like. And now they have blocked my account from usage for a week with completely ineffective customer service. Ticket #25301355: Dropbox Plus Support I am not sure what is happening with Dropbox, but they are quickly becoming a company that is unuseable for large companies. Since I removed the file in question (2 days ago!) I am still completely blocked from working. What am I paying for here? Is anyone else have new security issues with DB and sharing files, that they never had before?Solved48Views0likes3CommentsHow can I share folders above 5GB?
a friend sends me a request to share files for his drop box account, which has been working really well until this week, the files are never larger than 5GB and have been sharing fine, but this week now it states i can only share files up to 2GB how do i change this back to how it was ???77Views0likes5CommentsI can't save shared content to my Dropbox account, or download/print it. What can I do?
Hi, the first time someone shared files with me I was able to download them into my own Dropbox storage to view at my leisure. Now, they have shared more files but I can't download them. It says the function is disabled for all these files. Is that because they have not enabled it at their end? I just need to know if it's something they need to change please. I also cannot print the documents. Is that something they can enable at their end too? Or do I just download and then print once the documents are in my Dropbox storage?88Views0likes6CommentsThe Dropbox right-click options are gone from my Mac's Finder.
I recently changed the location of my Dropbox folder and now I no longer have my right-click menu. Dropbox is running and everything has been synced. I've restarted and reinstalled dropbox and it did not fix my issue. Hello, When I try to share any file I get an error "We've interrupted your sharing activity. For details or to contact support read our help center article". I read the article and I can't find any files that could violate the terms. I don't understand what is the reason for the blocking. It is impossible to contact technical support. The bot can't help in any way - it doesn't even understand the question. Are there any ways to solve this problem?Solved154Views1like15Comments'Something went wrong' error on shared links to my files
Whenever I share a link to a file on dropbox I get this error: This is appearing whenever I click share on any files. They are displaying OK within my dropbox view if I just click on a file name, it opens in a window on the right hand side. This is important as I am sharing documents with other people – at the moment they won't be able to access them. I have tested this with another browser where I am not signed in and the error still shows. I have tried with PDFs and a JPG. Files are shared publically, so no idea what the issue is. There is no status update either.68Views0likes5Comments
