Normally when I take screenshots on my mac I can send the image to my iPad and markup the image on my iPad (without needing to save the image to my iPad). I find this really useful as I can markup my screenshots with Apple Pencil. It would be super handy if Dropbox screenshot markup supported this also.38Views1like1CommentPassword-protected links should allow direct download without login or register
When I share a file or folder and create a password-protected link, it would be great if, when someone opens it, and want to download, they arenât asked to log in or register â clicking the download button should simply download the file.106Views1like3CommentsIntegrated Video Publishing & Distribution Platform
Dropbox already holds our video files. Dropbox Replay already lets us collaborate on them. The missing piece? A clean, professional way to publish and distribute them. The Vision Imagine approving a final cut in Replay and publishing it directly to a branded, ad-free video playerâhosted right from your existing Dropbox storage. No re-uploading. No third-party platforms eating into your budget. Just seamless delivery. Core Features Ad-Free Branded Player Custom player controls, your colors, your logo. Professional presentation without the clutter of platform ads or recommended videos pulling viewers away. Native Replay Integration Approve a video in Replay â publish with one click. The workflow stays inside Dropbox from raw footage to final delivery. Social Distribution Bridge Push to YouTube, Instagram, Vimeo, LinkedIn, and others from a single dashboard. Stop downloading, reformatting, and manually uploading to five different platforms. Unified Analytics View counts, engagement, and performance metrics across all platforms in one place. No more hopping between native analytics tools. Bandwidth-Based Pricing This is key. We're already paying for storage. Charging again for the same bytes doesn't make sense. Price tiers based on monthly bandwidth or views would be far more logical and competitive. Why This Makes Sense for Dropbox You've built the storage. You've built the collaboration layer with Replay. Video hosting is the natural third pillar â and it keeps users inside the Dropbox ecosystem rather than pushing them to Vimeo, Wistia, or others. For creators, agencies, and businesses already using Dropbox for video workflows, this would be a compelling reason to consolidate even further. Submitted by a Dropbox user who's tired of paying for storage twice.54Views2likes3Comments2-page / Book view for PDF's
It would really be great to be able to view PDF's in "Two page view" like on Acrobat. It makes it much easier for clients to review documents intended to be read/viewed in spread format WHILE KEEPING THE ACCURATE PAGE NUMBERS. Yes, as a designer, I can export a document in spread view, but then the page numbers will be off (i.e. the spread of pages 4 and 5 are combined and appear as a single page 3) and can make communicating about the document complicated. To see what functionality I am talking about, please open a multi page document in Acrobat and go to the View --> Page Display options as shown in my included screen shot.104Views3likes1CommentBring back export files feature
When sharing files you used to be able to text or email the actual file and not just a link. You would choose export and then would be given the option to share a copy of the actual file or the link. With the scammers having so many digital link click bait links it's not very trust worthy to just send a link. It is one of the main functions I use regularly besides automatic camera uploads. What is the purpose of having a premium plan if it doesn't work for the reasons one needs it to work?103Views1like5CommentsView shared photos as a gallery
When I share a Dropbox link to a folder with photographs, the web link is not optimized for photo viewing on any platform (phone or desktop). The thumbnails are too small and compressed. And on a phone's web browser, users can swipe through individual photos, but it requires two separate taps, thereby quickly becoming cumbersome. I am suggesting the idea to have Dropbox photo folders appear as a dynamic, tiled gallery, much like on a dedicated iOS or Android app. Google Drive's photo gallery is a great example of how to implement such a feature on Dropbox.198Views2likes4CommentsRequest to Reinstate Transfer Link in Dropbox Notification Emails
Hi, I hope youâre doing well. This is not a new idea, but rather a request to reinstate a feature that previously existed and, unfortunately, was removed sometime last year. In the past, when I created a Transfer from a Dropbox folder or file, I would receive an email titled âNew Transfer: File Nameâ. That email included the transfer link directly in a copyable text box. This was extremely helpful, as it allowed me to quickly copy and resend the link - especially when clients asked for it again days later, or when I was away from my computer and needed access via my phone and Gmail. Today, the notification email no longer includes the transfer link. Instead, it contains a âManage Transferâ button, which opens a browser window outside the email app - and not even the Dropbox app itself, which I have installed on my phone. This extra step makes it much harder and less accessible to quickly retrieve and resend a transfer link, particularly on mobile devices. As a dedicated Dropbox user since 2009, I truly appreciate the product and rely on it heavily in my workflow. Reintroducing the shareable transfer link directly within the email - as it previously existed - would be a simple yet powerful improvement. It offered a fast, intuitive way to access transfer links without having to navigate through multiple windows or menus. Thank you very much for your time and for considering this request. Best regards, Khen67Views1like1CommentTurn off email notifications for file request uploads.
Hi there. We run a community radio station, and people are constantly uploading new audio files to us, so our email account is getting bombarded with notifications every time a new file arrives. We check our Dropbox account regularly, so these notifiations are completely unnecesssary, and we would like to have the option of turning them off. I looked through the Dropbox forums, and it appears as though other users have been requesting this feature for many years, but you still haven't implemented it! Can you pleae take this into consideration?285Views5likes4Comments
