Having issue opening my C4D files on a shared server.
Hi there I suddenly have an issue where I can't open any C4D (Cinema 4d) files from a shared server. I can open the files fine on the server machine itself and all other file types open fine from the server (Photoshop files, InDesign files etc) Is anyone else experiencing this issue? It literally happened overnight after many years of working seamlessly. I am using Windows 11 on all machines Many thanks, Tom
I deleted my Dropbox folder and all files on my iMac are wiped
Hey everyone, I'm having quite the conundrum. For a few months, my iMac has been having space issues lately. So I've been uploading large video files, syncing, etc, to my dropbox, I pay for the large space TB one. THEN I deleted them, hoping it clears my space up on my iMAC. Somehow, a day or weeks later the storage that was temporarily cleared APPEARS right back, though not necessarily apparent to me in the same folders. But the space is TAKEN back again. I stopped autosyncing to dropbox in february due to space functionalisty issues, imac notified dropbox I was low on space and that it was best to conserve energy/storage. EVEN though I'd been deleting the files that I l uploaded to DROPBOX after they'd finished uploading... Anyways, YESTERDAY my iMac had 1GB remaining of space, crazy YES, I know. I decided to stop editing on my iMovie, which was barely working and delete the DROPBOX folder and the extra video files by placing them in the trash. I ONLY place those two things in there and press DELETE/EMPTY TRASH. It loads, showing how many files are being loaded and time remaining, then it shows TWO dropbox segments deleting. The number goes from 1,000-5,000-then over 200,000 files, that I DIDN'T even know my computer had on it... It won't let me click off to stop the deletion... then my DESKTOP gets deleted, I can't even screenshot because the desktop doesn't exist ANYMORE to save a screenshot on it. Then my download finder folder is deleted and has a ? mark in it's place. I couldn't even download files from my emails, because downloads did NOT EXIST anymore. Why would APPLE allow DOWNLOADS and desktop to just be DELETED?? I called apple and email dropbox for help. I restore some of the files partially with an iMac backup in my DROPBOX. Suddenly downloads finder folder is back on my iMAC but ONLY allowed with dropbox permission now. Also all my iMovie videos are gone and show empty blank blue and grey icons or screens, I can open them, but NOTHING is in there. I've tried to restore my photobooth library, it's in the dropbox cloud, and it wont let me click on the icons to even add them to be reconnected as a library. I talked to Apple Support AGAIN today, nearly an hour, and they said that it's a dropbox developer issues at this point. ALLEGEDLY. Has anyone every experienced this? I'm sad and need my files back, of family, my YT videos and more are all gone. Any advice? I need it. Thanks.
I can't share content for the last week, due to one .pdf and Support takes too long to reply.
i have been blocked from using my account for a week and support only answers one time per day (in the middle of the night in the US). Apparantely, they scrubbed my system (over 111,000 files) and found ONE LINK inside ONE .PDF (from 2022!) that they didn't like. And now they have blocked my account from usage for a week with completely ineffective customer service. Ticket #25301355: Dropbox Plus Support I am not sure what is happening with Dropbox, but they are quickly becoming a company that is unuseable for large companies. Since I removed the file in question (2 days ago!) I am still completely blocked from working. What am I paying for here? Is anyone else have new security issues with DB and sharing files, that they never had before?
Weeks of Dropbox files are gone. Can I restore them somehow?
HELP! All our Dropbox files from May annd June are gone. We have checked through the app and online and the most recent files available are from the last week of April. This is catastrophic — my wife and I have used shared files in Dropbox for years and years to track bills, taxes and other critical functions. This has never happened before. Whenever I share a link to a file on dropbox I get this error: This is appearing whenever I click share on any files. They are displaying OK within my dropbox view if I just click on a file name, it opens in a window on the right hand side. This is important as I am sharing documents with other people – at the moment they won't be able to access them. I have tested this with another browser where I am not signed in and the error still shows. I have tried with PDFs and a JPG. Files are shared publically, so no idea what the issue is. There is no status update either.
I shared a file directory with my coworkers, but they can't access it from their local device.
i tried to make shared folder and file between me and my coworkers. on my device the link worked as usual but on my coworker, the excel can't find the workbook link because different directory, for example on my excel it's 'C:\user\Jhon\Dropbox\Folder\Excel.xlsx and on my coworker it's 'C:\user\Dony\Dropbox\Folder\Excel.xlsx. so how to solve it so all linked file can work?Consulter des fichiers volumineux
Bonjour, Je suis à la recherche d'une information. Je dois mettre en ligne des présentations powerpoint, assez volumineuses, de manière à ce que mes clients les lisent, sans avoir à les télécharger. J'ai souscrit à l'abonnement Dropbox professional pour profiter de l'espace de stockage important. et pouvoir ainsi proposer à mes clients de consulter la présentation, sans avoir à la télécharger car elle est top volumineuse. Or quand j'uploade une présentation Powerpoint, et que je tente de la consulter sans à la télécharger, on m'indique que la taille est est trop élevée, malgré l'abonnement pro. Or c'est justement ce pour quoi je cherche à souscrire à Dropbox. Est ce que quelqu'un sait si il y a un moyen de ne pas être contraint par la taille de fichiers en consultation seule? merci par avance pour votre aide.
