My question is what happens when I "remove" a share email. And what happens if I just delete the folder without removing the shares first? In previous versions of Dropbox I was able to un-share a folder (I am the owner) with the option to let other users keep the contents. I could then delete the folder without removing their content. Today (March 2025) I am not finding those options. It appears I can only remove shared emails with no option for them to keep their copy of the files?10Views0likes0CommentsSharing a file forces users to install app?
Been using DropBox for a few years without issue. Now when I share a link … users complain that they can’t access the file and instead get page to download DropBox. Dropbox you are killing me... you give me notifications that we have hundreds of links shared, but no bulk way to remove them. What's worse? While I can delete the thousands that I made over the last 3 years, I CANNOT DELETE FOR TEAM MEMBERS WHO HAVE LEFT. I cannot delete a shared folder or any files in it (I am the owner). It has some large files in it and nobody needs them anymore. The website just keeps glitching and not letting me unshare the folder or delete anything. IS THIS A SCAM TO FORCE ME TO PAY MORE???? Not cool, Dropbox. Let me manage my situation, please!!! As a starving artist, I do not have extra dollars to give your corporation. The Team administrator has created sub-folders and moved some files into these new folders. As a team member I can see and open the new sub-folders but for me they are empty. The files that have been moved by the Administrator are still visible and accessible to me in the master folder not the sub-folders?? When I upload files to Dropbox, the order of the words in the file names keep being changed. For instance, John Smith.jpg becomes Smith John.jpg and 12 John Smith.jpg becomes 12 Smith John.jpg. The order of the words keeps changing. I tried to prevent it by inserting hyphens between words, but it doesn't work. They still move around. I suspect maybe my first name always moves at the back but I am not sure. Often I am requested to title files in a certain way and Dropbox just changes the names no matter how I title them. Hey team! Please help! Introducing Dropbox Replay to my workplace, but need to figure out a kink before we can commit to payment. I use Premier Pro with Dropbox Replay. When I share videos to Replay, the export appears blown out. When exporting without Replay, I usually fix this problem by using the drop down menus to select "Match Sequence Preview Settings". I'm having trouble finding the same settings in Replay. Can someone please help me out? Worth noting that I while I am comfortable editing videos in general, when it comes to exporting I literally use "Match Sequence Preview Settings" every single time (plus edit the video knowing its desaturated compared to the eventual export) because I don't understand these settings at all.
