Shared Folders
12 TopicsAllow us to see all the folders a user has access to and easily remove them from member.
Currently you can see who are the shared people in a folder or file. We need to be able to select a person and see the folders and files they have access to, and then obviously un-share from there. Not being able to manage this easily is a significant security risk.291Views5likes4CommentsSave Offline Folder Link to Home Screen on iOS
I want to be able to go directly to a single offline folder directly by clicking on an icon on my Home Screen on iOS just like I can add (share) a URL from Safari to my Home Screen. One click on an icon on my Home Screen takes me directly into a specific folder in Dropbox folder.188Views1like4CommentsHide the photo
1-Hide Selected Files in a Shared Folder. We need an option to hide specific photos or files so they do not appear in the drop box gallery view. 2-Preview Photos Inside ZIP Files When sharing a ZIP file, Dropbox requires users to open each file individually. It would be invaluable if photos inside a ZIP could be displayed directly on the main page, just like a normal shared folder. 3-Show a Thumbnail Under Shared Links (Optional) When sharing a link, please allow an optional preview image (for example, the first photo in the folder) to appear under the link, similar to pCloud. When I share a file or folder and create a password-protected link, it would be great if, when someone opens it, and want to download, they aren’t asked to log in or register — clicking the download button should simply download the file.107Views1like3CommentsView shared photos as a gallery
When I share a Dropbox link to a folder with photographs, the web link is not optimized for photo viewing on any platform (phone or desktop). The thumbnails are too small and compressed. And on a phone's web browser, users can swipe through individual photos, but it requires two separate taps, thereby quickly becoming cumbersome. I am suggesting the idea to have Dropbox photo folders appear as a dynamic, tiled gallery, much like on a dedicated iOS or Android app. Google Drive's photo gallery is a great example of how to implement such a feature on Dropbox.201Views2likes4CommentsDropbox Business: Disable "Request an invitation" popup for users after sharing
Using Dropbox Business Standard: When a user shares a folder with external users via their email, they get this pop-up: This is leading to numerous requests from users, not realizing that this is unnecessary in order to share their folder. Each requests results in a notification email, badge, and needing to deny the request. We do not want to add externals to our team at all. In our admin console, we have disabled "Members can invite people". However, they can still make these requests. Could you please provide a way to disable this popup? Thank-you!73Views0likes1CommentShared Color Tags / Visual Labels in Shared Folders
It would be extremely useful if color tags or file highlights could be made visible to all collaborators in a shared Dropbox folder. Many teams rely on visual cues for workflow, and this would reduce confusion and improve coordination. Please consider enabling this feature across shared folders — similar to how macOS tags or Google Drive priority labels work.227Views1like5CommentsDownload all comments from a folder into a .csv file.
We need a way to download all the comments in a folder as a .csv. For instance, I have over 100 images, each with a comment from the client on it. It is neither helpful nor time saving for me to download a text file one by one. Bonus points if we could also have the images embedded as thumbnails.133Views2likes3Comments
