Dropbox Plan - Basic (Formerly had Business Standard) Are you a Team Member or Admin? - Admin Do you have access to the email linked to the account? Yes Question or Issue I'm the current Admin for my organization and a previous employee is still on our DropBox account as a "Member." From the Admin Console page, it looks like she has 1+ Gb of storage used in her account. If I "Disconnect" her from our account, will her docs be lost? Does she need to set up a separate account first and then, transfer her files before I disconnect her? Any insight would be helpful. I am trying to join a dropbox team that stores technical data for my employer. He has sent an invitation four different times now, and I still can't access the team. While the invitation pops up for me to join, when I try to join the team I get a blank page. Refreshing doesn't resolve the page, I've tried closing the browser and reopening the link, restarting my computer, and clearing all other app activity. If I open the link and reopen dropbox, it shows the invitation but does not add me to the team. I've tried logging out and logging back in, and that doesn't resolve the issue either. We are small organisation where three people from the management should share documents. We decided to purchase Dropbox Business with 3 licenses. One person created the Dropbox account, and automatically became ADMIN. His email become the address used by Dropbox to communicate the issues affecting the whole team. Other people were invited by admin via invitation process. Now - in this organisation, management regularly rotate - one or more people leave the management, other people enter management. At any given time, there are at most 3 people in the management. What is the correct procedure to manage Dropbox accounts in this scenario? For example - when Admin person is replaced in the management, how to transfer ADMIN role to differrent user? Hello, Our company’s admin Dropbox account was deleted due to locked state. However, other team members who had access to files shared from this admin account can still view them. I need to delete some of these files, but since the owner account (admin) was deleted, I no longer have control over them. When I logged back into the admin account, a new profile was created, and all previous files were missing. Is there a way to assign admin rights to one of the existing members with access to these files, so they can control and manage them as an admin? Hello community, Today I tried to access a teams folder as I do once a week but when I opened Dropbox, I was logged of and after typing my login credentials I got a message saying that my account was ELIMINATED and ask the admin to invite me again and I did but after accepting the invitation I got a new message saying that I have to wait 6 days before trying to do that and I’m just blocked at work because I cannot access the teams folder. Hello Folks. i hope you can help. I have joined a TEAM and in the process i have lost access to to my own (paid for 3TB personal ACC). This is what happened: I have a personal account which i pay for 3TB (call this TB_P1) I was asked to joined a team to work on a project and in the process i couldn't work how to link my Personal account to their team. So i logged off and Started fresh by trying to join their TEAM without being logged into my personal Dropbox. So whilst i was Joining the team DropBox required me to set up another 'Personal account' as i couldn't seem to link my own one (lets call this TB_P2) So i have now lost access to my own personal TB_P1 account. what i have access to now is a new Personal account TB_P2 of which i don't want and the TEAM for work which i do want to be linked to. So the question is: How do i get rid of this new Personal account and Link my TB_P1 account instead of this redundant TB_P2 account?
