Dropbox Plan - Basic (Formerly had Business Standard) Are you a Team Member or Admin? - Admin Do you have access to the email linked to the account? Yes Question or Issue I'm the current Admin for my organization and a previous employee is still on our DropBox account as a "Member." From the Admin Console page, it looks like she has 1+ Gb of storage used in her account. If I "Disconnect" her from our account, will her docs be lost? Does she need to set up a separate account first and then, transfer her files before I disconnect her? Any insight would be helpful. Haven't used Dropbox for ages, needing to send a video to an 80yr old friend (taken on my phone today, to show them how to do an easy balance exercise with "wobble foam" aka balance pad. I am getting the Dropbox message of "we have interrupted your sharing". Dropbox won't let me share it to him or get a link to send to him. I have no idea why, I have 2 GB available storage, no problems I can work out. Can't see/understand any issue or how to fix it. Message says I can ask Dropbox to Review the decision if I consider it's wrong. I am 99.9% sure it's wrong but can't work out how to get any help. Can anyone here please help. I am trying to join a dropbox team that stores technical data for my employer. He has sent an invitation four different times now, and I still can't access the team. While the invitation pops up for me to join, when I try to join the team I get a blank page. Refreshing doesn't resolve the page, I've tried closing the browser and reopening the link, restarting my computer, and clearing all other app activity. If I open the link and reopen dropbox, it shows the invitation but does not add me to the team. I've tried logging out and logging back in, and that doesn't resolve the issue either. I use DB everyday for my business, servicing 100's of clients with all types of Photo files... it was usually a peer to peer transaction, i upload files & grant access to them... end of story... THEN, I recently did a large job for a client with 1000 .JPG files... a few days later i got an email that said "the same client" wanted me to join their "Team" I thought this was harmless & i said ok, perhaps this was a new featurein DB, but as soon as i clicked OK it started merging ALL of my files, im talking my business account with Terabytes of files to the new client TEAM account.... i no longer have my own personal business account that ive had & paid for annually for years... im now listed as a team member & now my client is the ADMIN of all my files...! How can i undo this??? I pay a large annual fee to DB with paypal & tnow DB has already changed my account setting & refunded me $$$ via Paypal because now my client owns the account & pays the fees... This is so annoying and really bad for me if they drop me from the team i'm in FEAR of losing everything i have stored... Hi, I have shared one of my dropbox folders with an external user outside my team. I would like him to be able to share that folder with other users. Is it possible to give this one user that permission? When he right clicks-> share on the folder, he gets a message saying he can only share with a link. The hide feature for viewer visibility is strictly for link sharing. Turning off this feature still enables all members inside the folder to view each others emails and names. This is a problem for years and still no new feature added to remedy this issue. It is a HUGE issue when you have 100+ clients agents and not being able to update 100+ folders every 2nd day if a small update occurs..so adding all the emails of the different members (agents etc..) isnt possible for 1 folder only. Since they all can see who else is in the folder (which is a BIG no no)... and no we dont want to share a link..I want to be able to open dropbox, see the folder, click it, view everything, and not be able to see all the competition under the members list. simple just add an option to disable member viewing as well...more than 5 years now and counting..nothing has been done to adress this NEED from the consumer. I pray I am just so misinformed and that there is some feature or setting hiding somewhere to help with this. (8 months ago I was informed by a dropbox member (alicedropbox) that this feature is not available YET, so I hope atleast its being worked on).
