We have to on and offboard lots of users to our Dropbox Business account, and it would be much easier to on/offboard them via our Identity Provider using SCIM provisioning, or at the very least Just In Time (JIT) provisioning. These are standard, commonly-used protocols, that should be built in a tool like Dropbox, as they with other SaaS apps.5Views1like0CommentsAdding more options for folder permissions aside from "Can edit" and "Can view"
Similarly to how local network drives allow for specific permissions, I wish Dropbox had more granular permissions other than Can View & Can Edit. For instance, a user in our company has been accidentally moving, duplicating, and in very rare instances, been deleting files and folders from other user's projects. Thankfully folder activity exists so we can see who was responsible and when it happened, but I would still love to be able to restrict users from doing certain actions in specific folders. Especially for those files you don't want deleted or moved.30Views0likes4CommentsWe'd like to have a Dropbox Business plan with less than 5 licenses.
I agree. It's too expensive and the five user minimum is unreasonable. We are a three-person IT support team. We'd like to have a Dropbox for Business account so that we can remain intimately familiar with the features and speak intelligently when recommending services to our customers, but we don't want to pay for five users when we only have 3 (or possibly even two now).6.4KViews2likes12CommentsMake it easier to remove external collaborators on a Dropbox team
in our account, we currently have 89 external collaborators that I would like to remove. Each collaborator has on average 40 files shared with them and it currently takes four clicks to remove each shared file so 89 x 40 x 4 = 14,240 clicks. I don't have that kind of time or patience. Right now, I guess I just leave them and hope they don't access the files any longer. In the future, we just will not use the exterior collaborator feature - seems completely unworkable.57Views1like6CommentsAllow us to pair more than 1 personal with 1 team account.
Allow us to sync more than 1 business accounts. is there a reason to have a limit of 1 personal and 1 business account? surely it's just folders at the end of the day, and if i wanted to pay for multiple accounts, why are you stopping me?27Views3likes3CommentsUser restrictions on bulk deletion or moving
It would be great if it were possible to set a user so they cannot perform bulk deletions or moves of files. One of the users, who does not have admin rights, accidentally moved a folder with 350,000 files. As a result, we lost the functionality of the links when returning the folder back. It would therefore be great if some users could be restricted so that it is not possible to move or delete files beyond a certain quota.239Views2likes3CommentsOption to link multiple Dropbox team accounts on the same device
Problem: Our Managing Director manages multiple organizations, each with separate Dropbox Business accounts. Since there’s no option to switch between business accounts easily, he has to repeatedly sign out and sign in to access each account. This is time-consuming, inconvenient, and disrupts workflow—especially during critical moments when quick access to files across both accounts is needed. Proposed Solution: Introduce a business account switching feature similar to the existing personal account switching functionality. This would allow users to connect multiple Dropbox Business accounts and switch between them seamlessly without having to log out and log in each time. Key Benefits: Increased Productivity: No more interruptions from logging in and out multiple times a day. Users can quickly access the files they need from any account. Improved User Experience: A simplified workflow for professionals and business leaders who oversee multiple organizations. Enhanced Collaboration: Easier access to shared resources across accounts, benefiting not only executives but also team members who might work across multiple business entities. This feature would be valuable for executives, consultants, or managers who work with multiple businesses and need streamlined access to their Dropbox accounts for efficient multitasking.201Views2likes1CommentPlease allow pairing of more than two accounts.
Please allow pairing of more than two accounts. As a contractor, I am a member of a company's business account, a team member of another company, and have my personal account. It is frustrating to only be able to pair two of them, so that when I need to access the third, I have to completely sign out of the others and sign in fresh for the third.17KViews40likes84CommentsFilter Option: Add Filter Type For Content with Comment
When I'm collaborating with my clients, I usually have them comment on photos/videos, this way I can see what my clients think about the product. I would love to see Dropbox include an integration where we can filter the folder to show which content in a folder has a comment in it. Unless there is another way of doing this, please drop a comment; otherwise, I would love to see this feature.1.3KViews1like6CommentsUse the admin 'Sign in as User' feature on the desktop app
It would be great to apply the "sign in as user" feature to the desktop app. I would like to set up a device before giving it to the user, but don't want to go through the process of getting their password, and coordinate receiving codes369Views0likes2Comments
