dropbox passwords

I wish Dropbox Passwords stored password history. Why? 1) sometimes you update the password directly in Dropbox Passwords, only to find out that the website requires the old password to accept the update. 2) The browser plugin makes a mistake and updates the password, but you miss the singular-chance to "undo' the save, and end up with a record of the answer to a security question as your password & not the password itself. 3) you're fighting with picky password rules on a website and it accepts a password you gave it, but you've been regenerating them over and over, assumed the updated would fail because it took a moment to process, but then... as you've just regenerated the password you see that the password you just trashed was actually accepted. Having access to the history would solve all of these and more. ^^^ This I yoinked from a thread on this 2021 that has since been closed, and I'm restoring it as I'd still like to see this feature implemented. At the very least, I'd like that the app indicate when you last UPDATED the password, not just the date you ADDED the password to the app, which is often less meaningful.19Views0likes1CommentCan't access Dropbox Passwords on my new PC
My PC has gone, it has no connection on the internet. I bought a new PC and installed dropbox. I thought passwords would come with dropbox, but I get a message that needs to check my identity and to check for "edge notification" which I do not get. How do I proceed? THanks24Views0likes6CommentsI'm not seeing my updates when opening Dropbox Passwords on my mobile/Firefox browser.
I use Dropbox Passwords, mainly on my computer (with Safari). I have installed the app on my phone and connected it some months ago but use it rarely. I noticed that the last changes made were not synchronized on the mobile ap. After trying different solution I uninstalled the app on my phone and reinstalled it. I can't understand, it is still the same: the last changes I made do not appear. I installed it on another brother (Firefox) and the problem is the same. The changes made on August 2024 (and latter) do not appear.27Views0likes1CommentDropbox Password no longer syncs with my iMac.
Hello everyone, I use Dropbox and Dropbox Password for syncing my passwords. I use Dropbox Password on three devices: <> Samsung S20 phone <> Microsoft Surface Pro <> Apple iMac However, for the past few weeks, the synchronization with my iMac hasn’t been working. This means that the passwords I create on my iMac don’t show up on my Surface or my Samsung, and vice versa. However, syncing between my Surface and Samsung works perfectly. I’m using the Dropbox Password web extension on the Safari browser of my iMac. Has anyone encountered the same issue? Thanks for your help!33Views0likes4CommentsI can't log back into Dropbox Passwords after disconnecting all devices.
Salve, usavo l'estensione su Chrome e l'app su Android senza problemi. Come si può risolvere il problema di accesso a Dropbox Passwords ?26Views0likes1CommentNew installation of Chrome Dropbox passwords on Linux Chromium is not working
I have installed Dropbox Passwords on my Linux laptop from my Dropbox account using Chromium. I get the "Check you other devices for a notification," and I have received this notification on at least two other devices, but clicking "allow" button does nothing. I have successfully installed Dropbox Passwords in Firefox on this same laptop. Using the recovery words option delivers the "something went wrong" message.Solved17Views0likes1CommentUrgent Issue: Dropbox Passwords not showing up after logging out and back in.
Hello Dropbox Community, I’m posting here out of sheer frustration regarding a critical issue I’ve just experienced with Dropbox Passwords. I noticed that my passwords were not syncing properly across my devices, so I thought it would be a straightforward, reasonable step to log out of the extension and then log back in. In fact, I went so far as to log out of every device linked to my Dropbox account, hoping it might trigger a re-sync. To my shock, this simple action completely wiped out all of my passwords across every device! I want to emphasize that at no point did I choose “reset” or any other option that would knowingly delete my data. All I did was sign out. This is incredibly frustrating—especially considering that Dropbox Passwords is supposed to be a critical security service. I rely on it for both personal and professional logins, and now I’m left scrambling without any of my credentials. Worse yet, the response from Dropbox Support has been non-existent so far. I reached out a day ago and have yet to receive any form of update, troubleshooting steps, or even an acknowledgment that my case is being addressed. I’m hoping someone in the community or from the Dropbox team can help me resolve this as soon as possible. If anyone else has experienced this issue or has any insight, please share. I need to regain access to my passwords ASAP, and I’m shocked that simply logging out could lead to a complete data wipe. Any guidance or immediate assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.30Views0likes1CommentLock/hide a folder with a password or a security key
Hello, I think it would be a good idea to be able to lock/hide Dropbox folders without necessarily putting them in the vault. There are sensitive documents that we would like not to be accessible to everyone, without necessarily putting them in another place, and moreover, I may need to give access to my account to colleagues, so I think it would be nice to be able to lock/hide them with several security methods: - Security key (Face ID/Touch ID/Physical security key) - Specific password (or PIN) + You could choose to use the security method registered in the Dropbox account, or use another one.
