.dropbox-ignore to prevent folders being uploaded to DropBox like git's .gitignore
Just like we have .gitignore for preventing files / folders to be uploaded to github, it would be nice to have the same for DropBox. I have a workspace folder with tons of node_modules folders. I want to upload the workspace folder to my DropBox but want to skip the node_modules folders. Is there a way to achive this by making some .dropbox-ignore entry in my workspace's folders ? Camera upload from different phones into different folders
Hello, I have created a new folder "Camera upload Karla" where I want my wifes iPhone to automatically upload photos to. This seems not to be so easy, as Dropbox on a phone will only upload to "Camera Upload" folder. Is this correct? How can I make her iPhone upload automatically to the new folder? Photo backup on iPhone isn’t working - alternating between files
I am on the latest iOS and Dropbox for my iPhone 13. Dropbox 324.2 and iOS 16.4.1 I noticed that it was going forth between 5 and 4 photos left. There is plenty of room in dropbox. Nothing has been uploaded. I followed the instructions mentioned here https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Storage-Space/Photo-backup-on-iPhone-isn-t-working/td-p/515471 for clearing the cache and rebooting. Still have the same issue and it won't give it up. Problem also exists backing up via cellular. If someone writes erotica (their own), and uploads to Dropbox to share to an 18+ audience, can they do so? Same question applies to those who have made their own amateur or professional porn videos Same question applies for amateur/professional porn audio (recording masturbation, etc.) Same question applies for amateur/professional porn pictures (nudes, photoshoots, adult models, etc.) As long as the porn is not illegal (aka includes minors, animals, those who cannot give consent, etc.), and all parties involved in the MAKING of the adult content are 18+ and consent, can they still upload and share their adult content? Connecting Dropbox to Samsung "My Files"
I have read that as of October 2019, Dropbox no longer supports connection to the Samsung "My Files" app. I suggest that Dropbox reconsiders this decision, because: 1. Other big companies' cloud storage services such as OneDrive and Google Disk are allowing connection to the Samsung "My Files" app. 2. Dropbox already allows connection to the iOS "Files" app. 3. This encourages Samsung users to easily use Dropbox within one files app, which could convert them into paid users. 4. This will not take away from the usage of the Dropbox app, since many great features are still needed to be used on the Dropbox app itself. The Samsung "My Files" app just helps to easily reach the stored files of many cloud storage services in one place, and nothing more after that. Ridiculously slow upload speeds both when using the desktop app, and website.
I've tried uploading through the website and using the windows app. In both cases I'm lucky if i get 1/100 of what my actual upload limit is. I'm trying to upload about 4gb worth of files and it's saying its going to take 2+ days because it's uploading at 20kbps. Even comcast is faster then this. I've already set the app to use unlimited bandwith and it hasn't helped. Dropbox is pretty easy to use, but if this is the fastest I can upload, dropbox is going to get dropped.Solved32KViews5likes86Comments
Why do I keep seeing a 'Waiting to upload' message when trying to upload files to Dropbox?
All day i have been trying to upload photos, however there is no upload activity. All i keep seeing on the photos i want to upload is "Waiting to upload". I have tried to upload the photos through my wifi and mobile data but wouldnt work. I have tried to upload different photos but wont work. I am using my iphone to download to dropbox and have turned my phone off/on but wont work. I have deleted my app and downloaded it again but it wont work. I have signed out/in again but wont work.
