Sending large files to dedicated email address and have them added to the storage automatically
I was hoping to avoid uploading and downloading a 125GB file multiple times that I already have in WeTransfer. Other services allow for a dedicated email address to send large files to that will automatically add those files to storage. Perhaps you could convey that to your product management team as an enhancement request. Thank you for your help.
Option for the 'Email to Dropbox' feature option to create your own email address
for "Email to Dropbox" feature i rather have random numbers for email address (like UUID number, "591b6596-1632-434b-9dea-fb85db01ceab") or option to create you own email address (UniqueName@addtodropbox.com or username@addtodropbox.com) (no special characters, like !@#$%^&*, this could cause problems with email apps/tools) this is much safer and easier to use .. thank you André
Allow uploaders to add comments or descriptions with File Requests
Summary I'd love to see an option for people uploading files via a Dropbox File Request to include a short comment or description with their upload. Why this matters This would be incredibly helpful for providing context — especially when receiving files from multiple people (like resumes, signed forms, or project files). Right now, there’s no way for the uploader to explain what the file is about, and that can lead to confusion or extra follow-up. How it could work During the file upload process, there could be an optional text field where the sender can briefly explain the file's purpose, content, or any special notes. Benefits Easier file organization Less follow-up needed to clarify uploads Improved collaboration, especially for teams or clients submitting documents I think it would make File Requests even more powerful and user-friendly.
File requests: Option to edit both the name of requester and description
Hi all! It would be great if we had a rich text option when writing descriptions for our file requests. It would also be great if I could change the name that's sending the request so it can come from my client and not me personally. Here's an example where some line breaks and HTML markup would be super helpful!
AI driven organization of documents
As a Dropbox consumer user, I want to have my scanned documents automatically organized based on content. Use case: I have a ton of paper mail, as well as downloaded statements from credit cards. I want to scan all my paper mail using my Epson document scanner which drops the PDFs into a preselected folder in my Dropbox account. I want an AI to look at the documents (bills, statements, etc) and organize them into a folder structure that makes it easy to find them. The folder structure creation could be through a guided journey or a recommendation after uploading some minimum number of documents. Then, all subsequent mail I receive will automatically be placed into the correct folder upon scanning. Success criteria: uploaded documents are sorted into the correct folders Considerations: since there are sensitive documents being uploaded, the context for the AI agent must be kept to my account, or the data used to teach a common model must be depersonalized before use. GTM opportunity: partner with ADF scanner manufacturers currently supporting Dropbox. This service will easily support a Premium add on ~$15 a month.
