Select which options appear in the context menu (When you Right Click) This suggestion appears to be one relatively sought after as there are multiple 'help threads' with people trying to do this, and no shortage of information for people to do it through unsupported and unofficial means. The reason I suggest allowing users to chose what options that appear, is because I personally would only need one or two of the options available (currently in Windows 10) and will rarely ever need another one or two. Even embedding these options in some kind of menu so they don't fill up the context menu with 7 (for me) additional items would be an improvement!35Views1like3CommentsWindows explorer cascading menus
In explorer integration, dropbox places all the actions at the top-level menu. For those of us who have a large menu already, this is an unnecessary clutter. It would be great to have a single menu item for all dropbos actions, so that the actions will open in a sub-menu.18Views0likes0CommentsAllow AppData(or any) Folder on my computer to be backed up
There's already another idea but it has been closed. I'm floored this wasn't a easy/obvious idea that I would expect to be implemented many years ago. Why is the backup feature so restrictive on what I can backup? Please (re)consider or I'm curious why not?39Views1like1CommentDefault should not be "Remove Local Files"
Most recent Windows desktop update allows users to have files only on the cloud (saving local disk space). Problem is by DEFAULT, the update REMOVES all files locally WITHOUT WARNING (i.e. must have internet access to get to them)! For me, this defeats the reason I use DropBox in the first place, and I could just use the Microsoft cloud instead. I'm really glad I discovered this "removal" before I ended up someplace with NO internet access and NO access to files I need! I had to spend an hour undoing the cloud-only folders I needed locally and wait for all my files to re-sync! The default setting SHOULD have kept all files local and allowed me to select which ones I could tolerate being "cloud only", instead of putting a tremendous surprise burden on all users.109Views1like1Comment
