App folder to have main folder being sub-folder.

Hello,

I would like to create new App Folder application, which would have it's main folder as sub-folrder of currently working team folder. I don't want the app to have access to compete team folder, just it's sub folder = main app folder.

I tried to put this with / or \, but it's not allowed.

Please help:).

Hey Sc0rp0w, welcome to our Community!

I'm just not entirely sure of what you wish to achieve, and I need to be entirely certain of what you want to accomplish, before guiding you with the next appropriate steps.

Would you be able to give me a few more details in regards to the steps you've already tried so far? Also, at which path do you wish to create that folder?

Also, I understand you're part of a team, right? Are you a team member, or admin?

    Thanks a bunch!

    Hi,

    So let's make example:
    - we have team folder called "team_folder"
    - I create App Folder with folder called "App_own_folder", which I want to be sub-folder of "team_folder".

    How to do it :)?

Hey Sc0rp0w, I’ve moved your request to the API section of the forum, since our dedicated team here may be able to further assist with what you’d like to achieve.

Sc0rp0w App folders are incompatible with shared/team folders, meaning you can't share an app folder, put a shared/team folder inside an app folder or put an app folder in a shared/team folder. (The app folder name setting only allows you to set the default name of the app folder, not the full path, so you can't use that to set the path to include a team folder as a parent, for instance.)

Instead, if you need to use the API with shared/team folders, you'll need to use "full Dropbox" access type, as opposed to the app folder access type. You can find more information about app permissions here:

    https://www.dropbox.com/developers/reference/developer-guide#app-permissions

If you've already registered an app using the app folder access type, you can register another with full Dropbox access at:
