Hey Eric Weber, sorry to jump in here.
You can find the steps on how to download files from the Dropbox website here.
You shouldn't have to choose a download location, as the files should be downloaded to the default location for downloads for the browser (usually the Downloads folder).
If it's not working from this browser, and you have login access to the account, make sure to try from a different browser as well, to see if that helps.

3 years agoHi EricWeber, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
I'm sorry for the situation you're currently experiencing. Are you able to login to the Dropbox account itself on the site?
What happens when you attempt to download entire folders to your computer?
This will help me to assist further!

Yes, on my wife's iMac when I open the Dropbox web site I am automatically logged in as her (Bobbin [removed]). I haven't been able to download anything, perhaps because I don't know how to do it correctly. What are the steps in downloading a folder? Am I supposed to be able to choose a download location for it, or does it automatically go to the Downloads folder in my wife's User folder, or to some other default location?
