The filenames of a folder that another user shared with me appear truncated.
When I go to a folder that some one shares with me it gives me a list where the file names are cut off. I end up having to either download the whole thing or look through files one by one to tell if...

I found the issue. In the page styles, the table layout is set to "fixed." If I disable that, it looks normal. Perhaps the developers can remove that or override it for Windows 10.

12 months agoThanks for posting on our Community, Ryan H.43!
Was this folder shared with your Dropbox email address and added to your account or was it sent to you in the form of a shared link?
Can you send me a screenshot of what you see on your end? Feel free to cover any info you donât want visible on the forum.
You can also try opening the folder via another browser, as a test, and see if the behavior persists there.
Ping me when youâve got more updates.

I was looking at shared link pages. I'm not sure if someone fixed it after my post but the main page I was looking at now has enough space where the file names fully display. Previously the file names would have ellipses and I couldn't see the file extensions such as "FileName..." where it should be "FileName.pdf"

Hi Ryan H.43, thanks for the update. Just to check, were you viewing these links on a mobile browser or desktop browser? Was the window not maximized to fullscreen?

So it turns out in Chrome on windows 11 I get the cut off file names and mac Chrome I don't.
I took screen shots but can't seem to upload them.

I was on a desktop. My issue seemed to be with the windows system having to be scaled to look at any text at a reasonable size. It it seemed like windows recommended it be 150% which I don't fully understand. I'm normally a mac user and everything is fine there.
