Allow real-time collaboration for non-Microsoft Office files on the desktop app.

Hello, Dropbox community!

I've always appreciated how Dropbox's simple file sharing and syncing across devices, but I believe one feature is missing: real-time collaboration in real time on non-Office files (PDFs, images, or text files).  Other platforms (Google Drive and OneDrive) have this feature, which makes working on group projects and receiving feedback much faster and easier.

It would be fantastic if Dropbox could incorporate this!

Is anyone else in the community hoping for something similar, or do you have any suggestions on how to work around it?

Even better, if it's already in the works and/or executed!

Thanks for the quick response, Walter!

I have mostly used the Dropbox desktop app on my Windows laptop.

Specific file types which come to mind: PDF, code files (I've only used Python), presentations (.pptx) etc.

Hey there IDasGupta - thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on this.

Just to confirm, are you referring to the Dropbox desktop app or the Dropbox mobile app instead? What is the OS of your devices and the file types you'd like to see this work with?

Any additional information is more than welcome!
