Does anyone suggest any third party apps to help with duplicate files? I've got a MacBookPro..going from Dropbox Business to Dropbox Essentials and I don't want duplicate files. So going thru thousands of files individually is not going to happen. Thanks
Can we have a way to tell if a FileMaker 11 database is open on a user's end?
In our office we use a FileMaker database. However there are two people who use it and one can't tell if the other has the database open. This causes problems if both people are adding or changing data. I realize this is not a server so two can't use the same file at the same time. However, it would be a great help if somehow we can tell on the list if it is opened already. I think it works for Microsoft products. Could FileMaker 11 be added?Allow real-time collaboration for non-Microsoft Office files on the desktop app.
Hello, Dropbox community! I've always appreciated how Dropbox's simple file sharing and syncing across devices, but I believe one feature is missing: real-time collaboration in real time on non-Office files (PDFs, images, or text files). Other platforms (Google Drive and OneDrive) have this feature, which makes working on group projects and receiving feedback much faster and easier. It would be fantastic if Dropbox could incorporate this! Is anyone else in the community hoping for something similar, or do you have any suggestions on how to work around it? Even better, if it's already in the works and/or executed!
Around 500 images created via Arduino IDE were randomly deleted via my mobile app.
So I am trying to understand what has happened, and how to avoid it again (i'm assuming it is something I have done) I'm coding micro controllers for a project of mine (arduino IDE) and have about 100 versions of said program saved in my dropbox. Everytime I create a new version it creates a new directory with about 20 files for the program. All this programing is done on a PC. My phone is also connected to dropbox but only back's up images taken on my phone to dropbox. My issue is that a week ago my phone deleted 5 jpg files repeatedly from each of these 100+ program file directories. All 500ish images ( basicly 5 images representing battery charging indicator repeated in 100 seperate diectories) were deleted in about 2 minutes, so it's not something that could have been done manually in that time. My question is what happened and how do I make sure it doesnt happen again

On several occasions in the past couple of years, I will be looking for a CAD file (TURBOCAD) I have saved in my dropbox file and it is not there. I then check DropBox deleted files on-line and it is shows as deleted around the time I exited the program. On one specific file I've been working on this has happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks. DropBox says they can't delete files, but I certainly didn't delete them, and there was no warning that came up asking if I want to delete the file. I've tried saving the file under an different name, but this still has happened. This makes me question continue use of DropBox. Any thoughts or solutions?
