EDIT Powerpoint in dropbox not working
Dear All,
This is a new problem this week. After years of working on PPT files directly from DropBox (using PowerPoint for Web), this is now presenting me with a blank screen. Here is my setup:
- Windows 11
- Chrome (same response on Bing)
- DropBox Family Plan
- I can Open the file for VIEW only
Thanks!!!

Hi there Krausteads, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
May I ask if this is a file that you own or a shared one? Also, have you tried clearing your browser's cache or another browser, preferably with no extensions or plugins running?
Let me know and we'll take it from there.

Thanks for speedy reply Walter! To answer your questions:
1. I own the file and I have it shared at the parent folder level
2. Given your question about sharing, I went to a different folder (not shared) and clicked on another pptx - same results >> blank screen
3. In Chrome I have 3 extensions: Google Docs Offline / Keeper® Password Manager & Digital Vault / McAfee® WebAdvisor
4. I just downloaded and tried Firefox - that WORKED!
5. I cleared my Cache in Chrome - same results >> blank screen
Thanks, Lynn

Since it worked on Firefox, the culprit must be one of your web extensions, Lynn.
You can try disabling them one by one to see which one is causing this issue.
I hope this helps!

Walter,
I disabled the Extensions as you suggested - One by one. Nothing changed. I now have zero extensions in Chrome and am still having the same response. Any other ideas most appreciated.

Have you made sure that your web browser is up to date too, Lynn?
What version of Chrome are you currently running?

My organization is experiencing the same issue. It seems to be Windows (10 and 11) AND macOS users trying to edit PowerPoint files in the web using Chromium-based browsers.
On my computer (macOS 13.5) I can't edit using Chrome, Edge, or Brave. But I CAN edit using Firefox and Safari. - Walter2 years ago

Thanks for the report Joe Maluso
Would it be OK if we reached out via email to have a further look internally?
