Cannot delete an old folder from my file explorer

Windows 11

I have an old folder downloaded to my PC that i cannot delete. The folder was downloaded from a shared dropbox for a project and I've been since removed from the online version of the folder - having just the files in my PC.

When i try to delete the folder it ask for admin rights, even tho I am the only admin and also made sure to check the needed acces from the property panel, security tab.

Hannah is correct that this is a Windows permissions issue, and unrelated to Dropbox.

If you're unable to delete the folder and you're signed in with an admin account, go back into the Advanced Security Settings of the folder and change the owner to yourself (even if it already shows you as owner), and select the option to replace owner on subcontainers and objects as well.

Once it's done working through all the files, try to delete it again.

    Thanks for the screenshots, Jeje23!

Can you also send me a screenshot of the properties of both the Europa Express folder and its parent folder?

By the way, this doesn't seem to be related to Dropbox, it looks like it has to do with your Windows permissions, but we'll try to get to the bottom of it!

Hi there, Jeje23, thanks for letting us know about this.

Let's see what we can find; was this folder downloaded from the Dropbox website or was it synced through the Dropbox desktop app?

Is the Dropbox desktop app still installed and running on the computer?

And can you please send us a screenshot of both the error you're getting and the properties of the folder?

    Thanks in advance!
