Cannot Find Option to Add Tags

Hey all, 

 

Just recently saw that Dropbox added tags to files, and tried to follow the help article here: How to tag files | Dropbox Help

 

The thing is, I don't see the tag options at all. When I check a folder/file, the details panel just shows basic info. I don't even see the tags column displayed in the update post here plank-1_tags.webp (2880×2076) (dropbox.com)

 

What am I missing? I'm on a basic plan just testing things out; do tags require a higher tiered plan? I haven't read anything about it.

    Hi everyone! Reut here from the Dropbox product team. It’s my pleasure to announce that tags are now available to all Dropbox users! To get started, on dropbox.com, just select one or more files and type a tag name in the righthand panel.
     
    As we continue working on tags, the product team and I would love to hear your feedback. Think tags are amazing, and just what you need? Feel that something’s still missing? Let us know here.

    Hi jpwdev, happy Tuesday! 

    At the moment, this is a feature found on Business plans only. 

    This would justify why you can't see it on your end. 

    I hope this clarifies.

    I have Business Professional and i cant not find the option.

    It's available for Business teams. Professional is still considered an individual plan; not a team plan.

    I am my team and I want to tag files so I can find them easier. I am considering finding another solution for my files as soon as possible if it is not possible to use tags. It is my first year as a subscriber so I have not yet too much save on Dropbox so I start seeking other solutions.

    You need to be on a paid Business Standard or Advanced plan.

     

    As has been said Professional does not cover this.

    Also keep in mind that the tags feature is still a Beta and has not been rolled out for everyone yet. Features such as this are usually rolled out to small groups first for testing, before being rolled out to a wider audience. Once the beta is over, the tags feature will likely be available to more account levels.

    Thanks for your tags wonderful and MOOC and :
    -I work with Dropbox app and no tags with Dropbox app. I am terrible sad
    -And i would like to have automatically a check list of all fields ...with x tags (as notion did)
