Yesterday someone had access to my account, deleted ALL my files and folders and left a ransom note asking to be contacted, I suppose for payment. I have a basic plan: do I have any possibility to recover my files? Maybe upgrading my plan? Or am I done? 😭

If they didnt permanently delete them, yes. You can recover via this article.
If they did permanently delete them I'm afraid they are not recoverable, at all. Upgrading wont do anything.
