Files are being deleted and moved to Dropbox without my permission
(1) It deletes files I have downloaded to Dropbox for safekeeping without my knowledge or permission.
(2) It installs my files to Dropbox without my knowledge or permission.
I have written about this before, but have never received a reply. How can I get Dropbox to stop making these unauthorized moves? (3/18/25)

Dropbox cannot do that. It simply does not have the code to do so.
It can only replicate what it is told to do so on another device or by another user if its a shared folder. Have you looked at www.dropbox.com/events to see whats happening?

Again. It cannot do that.
However, it DOES move files around if a user tells Dropbox to activate the Backup Feature which quite a few people have done by not fully reading the information presented on screen.
