How do I delete or remove Vault?
I created a Vault with a pin and am able to use it... I just don't want it.
How can I remove it from my Dropbox? It's cluttering up my file list.

Hi jjjjjmnmn, could you try moving the files out of the Vault via the Dropbox site to another location on your Dropbox account? When it syncs on your machine, try moving it to the location you wanted to move it to.
Let me know how it goes!

I agree. Had no idea could not get back out of Vault. Any information that anyone comes up with to save these files would be appreciated. Thank you.

Please let us remove the Vault. It's adding to my already cluttered sidebar in Windows 10.
Get with it Dropbox!

How this is still a thing is beyond my comprehension. I don't want to see the vault, why in the world should that be undeleteable!

Hey everyone, we don't have any update on this just yet, but we will let you know as soon as we do.
In the meantime, I've removed the post that was marked as a solution and leave this thread open.
If you have any other questions, just give us another nudge.
Thanks!

I see that this thread has been opened since July 2020 and there is still no solution (November 2020).
I am a long time Dropbox paid user and do not want to see the Valut in my file folder structure, either.
I am not sure where it came from but has now synced on all my devices and shows up in my file list.
Very frusturating and am eager to learn how to remove it from my file list.

If a user isn’t using Vault, having a locked empty “folder” in the folder list can be a source of confusion and slow down users’ workflow — when looking for a file, they have to enter a PIN just to confirm a folder is empty and that the file didn’t inadvertently find its way into the vault. And BTW — I think it’s bad UX to invite users to try the vault feature without warning them they won't be able to disable or delete the feature once they try it. Hoping the Dropbox app doesn’t now periodically pester me to enter a PIN for a feature I’m not using.
