How to refresh iPhone dropbox files

But my iPhone Dropbox app says my dropbox folder is full and can't synch photos.

In the account menu, it says I'm using only 62% of my dropbox.

I also still see photos in my iPhone Dropbox app that I have deleted from my Dropbox.

It seems the iPhone app have missed to delete some photos and it's out of synch.

How can I force a refresh/resynch?

thanks

Mats

  • Hey MOhl; how are you today?

I'm sorry to ask, but can you clarify where the deletions were made from?

Also, can you check if there's an update for your device's OS and our app's version through your app store as well?

On a side note, your desktop app is slightly outdated too as v.103.4.383 has been out for a couple of days already so you may want to update that as well.

    Keep us posted anyhow!

Hello there MOhl, let's see what we can do on this together.

As a first step, could you make sure that the account you've signed in to on the mobile app is the same as the one you've logged in on the website?

    You can do this from:

    • Website - your General tab in your Settings.
    • Mobile app - Account tab.

If you find that it's the same account, could you try clearing the Dropbox mobile app's cache? Maybe that will do the trick.

Let me know how it goes, thanks!

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick response.

I've double checked the account and I'm using the same account.

    (some photos are the same).

I cleared the cache but that didn't help.

\In the app, it says it can't synch photos since "You don't have enough space to continue"

But on the account page in the app, it says I'm using 67.5% of drop box.

Thanks for getting back to me, MOhl

Were the deletions made from the desktop app by any chance?

Could you send me a screenshot (without any personal information) of:

    • The message that you see regarding the space?
    • What you see when you hover over your Dropbox icon that's next to your computer's clock?

    Keep me posted!
