I can't move multiple files to a folder on the site, the Move option disappears when I try this
I hope I am the problem here, but I simply cannot find a way to move multiple files to a folder... As I select the second file, the MOVE option disappears.

What? No, clearing caches does not make a difference...
It's a product functionality that is so basic, I thought would be included in the not cheap subscription.
I want to select multiple pictures and (a) create a folder with them or (b) move them to an existing folder.
Do you have either of these options hidden somewhere?

1 year agoYou should be able to select files and move them in bulk through the website (no matter what plan you're on), so there's definitely some kind of issue here.
Can you please describe the steps you're taking, to make sure we're not missing something?

When I choose a single picture, all options are available. As soon as I choose the second one, the move option disappears.

This is the EXACT same problem we are experiencing and Dropbox does NOT have a solution for it. The option to move files under the “…” is gone - it’s removed.
I’ve tried explaining this to their tech support team (ie., photos screenshots) but no solution.
I’m now left downloading the file to my desktop, deleting the file on Dropbox, and moving the recently downloaded file to the desired location within Dropbox. Incredibly frustrating and time consuming. - MariaD21 year agoExplorer | Level 4
RubinRolongSo, from what you are saying, it's not a problem, it is the way it is designed to "function".
I was trying not to reach the same conclusion, much less the same solution. I will not do this manually, no way.
Again, Hannah , it is a pretty basic action for anyone dealing with any type of file in large quantities...

Hey MariaD2 and RubinRolong, we appreciate you letting us know about your experience, however since I'm testing this on my end and I am in fact able to move multiple files to other locations in my Dropbox at once, I'd like to look further into this.
RubinRolong, can you please give us the ticket number for your communication with our support team, so I can look into it?
