If this action dialog is coming from your OS, you won't be able to change the setting through Dropbox, but through your OS settings; have you tried searching there?
You can contact Apple for assistance on that as well.

Thanks! Yes, I have. The functionality for non-Dropbox items (files or folders) works as expected. It's only the DB files and folders that are different.
