Restore Unsynced files
I lost a bunch of files when trying to activate selective sync to save space and I've been giving myself headaches trying to figure out how to get them back. At this point I would love to just upgrade to a paid plan with more storage and restore my files to where they were before the sync debacle. What subscription level would me this capability?

If they werent sync'd then you cannot recover via Dropbox I'm afraid.
Dropbox doesn't know the exist, it has no way to recover what isn't on the cloud.
Sorry :(

The files were in Dropbox. Lost access somehow when I did selective sync trying to free up space.

If they were on Dropbox use www.dropbox.com/events to find them and you can restore from there.
Or go to the directory they were in and click on 'Show deleted files'.

Upgrading doesn't offer any extra restore capability for files already deleted. The extended recovery time that some plans offer only applies to files deleted after you've upgraded.
If you're not able to recover the files through the Events page or Deleted Files, then there's no account level that would help further.
