Trying to move large amount of files

Hello,    I am trying to move/copy/download approx. 216gb of files onto a new, larger external drive. Is there ANY way possible to multi-select/check off chunks of files into groups small enough ...

You can select multiple files at once by selecting the first file and then shift-clicking another file and all files in between will be selected. However, you still need to track how many files your selecting and their size, to stay within the limits.
