Why is the watermark automation not working?

Hi, I have the professional essential plan, and I added watermark automation into the folder including all subfolders. I also adjust the size, color, and opacity to make sure it will show up. However, none of the photos in the folder was watermarked. I have to go into each folder and added the watermark manually which doesn't make sense at all. Can anyone tell what I did wrong? Thank you!

Can you try copy pasting your screenshot in your message box here? Can you attach it this way perhaps?

I don't see an option for adding a jpg. I emailed one to "Kevin"

Hey DenCon! Please feel free to send over a couple of screenshots of what you see on your end, and I can take a look for you.

I've got a maybe not that different issue with watermarking not functioning properly. Automation, done as described above, sort of works for me. The problem is that after watermarking, it leaves a copy of the non-watermarked file in the folder. Not only that, but there often a second (watermark) (watermark) file add. Adobe Lightroom makes it easy, but that's the only reason I've used it in the past.  I think the main problem here is that Dropbox doesn't want image-makers as customers anymore. We complain too much.

Hey Aurelia Pearls, thanks for posting here today!

Just to make sure we're on the same page here, are the following the same steps you followed on your end to apply the watermarks to all files in an existing folder?

-Click the ellipsis beside the folder you wish to add the watermarking automation to.

    -Click "add automation".

    -Choose auto-watermark.

-Choose how you would like the watermark to look.

-Check the "Apply to current files" box.

    -Click save.
This will apply the chosen watermark to all files in the folder, as well as automatically apply it to all future files uploaded/moved to this folder.

    Let me know!
