Will my photos stay in my account forever?

Hello.  I received free dropbox space with my new laptop and copied my photos from flashdrives onto my computer.  Will these pictures stay there safely forever?   I remember having a free dropbox in the past, but had to create a new username/password now.  I am also wondering what happened to the old photos that were saved in my original dropbox using a different email and password.   Thank you for your help!

Your files will remain in your account as long as the account is active. If the account is idle for more than a year, the account and all content is subject to deletion due to inactivity.

If the account still exists, you'll be able to sign into it using the other email and password, or you'll be able to reset the password if it's expired (and you still have access to the email address). If the account no longer exists, the content would have been deleted.
