Can I find old Dropbox Transfer links that were Shared
I'm looking for a file from 2022 that was shared out as a Transfer link and has now expired – is there a way to retrieve this file somewhere in the Dropbox ecosystem?

Hi there, it's one I created and shared out. I've misplaced the root file and could not come across it in my Dropbox or deleted files. Thanks!

What about if you search for the file itself on your account?

Looks like the events page only goes back to March 2023. I did search the file and didn't come across it.

Hey kimhold, sorry to jump in.
When creating a Transfer link, you have an option to "upload file/folder" from your computer, without uploading it to your Dropbox account first, and "add from Dropbox" which allows you to choose a file already in your Dropbox.
So, is it possible that you just selected the file from your computer, instead of choosing one from your Dropbox account?
That would mean that the file might still be on your hard drive somewhere. Have you searched there?
