Indeed, when you send a shared link to a file, you have access to certain info.
You can read more about what info you can access, depending on your plan, and a lot more on viewer info here.

Thanks for the discussion! AndyFah, I understand that with a shared folder link, the viewerâs avatar shows up when they access it, as you confirmed. Hannah, thanks for pointing to the viewer info details! Iâm on the Plus planâcan I disable viewer info for shared links to keep access anonymous, or is that only available on higher plans? Appreciate any insights!

6 months agoHey AndyFah! Happy to help! Just to make it a bit more specific, though, the viewer info will show up when the recipients open the files in the folders, so the avatars will show within the files.
And hi yesnobutton! You can of course disable viewer info for individual files or your entire account.
The steps can be found in the article I hyperlinked in my previous reply, but here it is again, for your convenience.
