Dropbox icons change from a green tick to two people?
What does it mean when my Dropbox desktop icons change from a green tick to two people figures?

5 years agoHmmm, I see, thanks for the screenshot Firebrand01, these green ticks do look like the Dropbox sync icons.
While you don't need to open and interact with the app, when it's running you should see a Dropbox icon in your system tray (next to the date/time display), which will show the sync status as it sync your files in the background.
Since you're seeing the green ticks, so the app is running, can you check for the Dropbox icon referred to above and see what it's reporting at the moment?

The Dropbox icon is not showing in the tray?

The Dropbox icon is hiding away in your system tray just here:
If you click or hover over this, what does it show?

This is what's showing...

Awesome, thanks for checking that Firebrand01.
The next time that you see the other icons showing on your files, instead of the green ticks, can you click this Dropbox icon again to check what the app is reporting? - Firebrand015 years agoExplorer | Level 4
Yes, sure. I will do that.
I just don't know when that will be - it might happen this afternoon, or might be next month - who knows, it seems to be random.
Thanks for your support today,
Kind regards
