Solved

Error Message: Couldn't share, but it might work if you reload the page and try again.

Hello,

I am unable to share folders. Each time I click the share folder button and enter the required information, I get the following error message:

"Couldn't share, but it might work if you reload the page and try again"

"Folder Upgrade in Progress, please try again later"

I would appreciate a solution to the above issue.

Thanks!

  • It appears that I was trying to share to many folders in one day. I was able to share more today and I will try again tomorrow.

Hey there, awalde, I'd be more than happy to help!

If you haven't tried that already, can you switch over to a different browser, and give it another go?

Also, if I were you I'd clear the cache on my existing one, and try an incognito tab too to see if the results remain the same.

Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

    Hi Megan,

I cleared the cache and tried incognito but the results remain the same.

    Thanks!

    Hey awalde, thanks for trying!

Does this happen with a specific folder or all of them? Also, do you get the same results whether you try a shared folder, or a shared link

Would you mind sending over a screenshot of the error message, please?

Hi awalde, I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with sharing folders! It sounds frustrating. Have you tried clearing your browser’s cache or using a different browser? Sometimes those simple steps can help resolve issues. Also, if the folder upgrade is still in progress, it might be worth waiting a bit longer before trying again. In the meantime, you might find some patience and inspiration in Surah Al Waqiah. Hope you find a solution soon!

    Hi Megan,

I have attached screenshot of the error message. I can't share via link or shared folder.

    Thank you!

Hey awalde, does this happen with all of your folders or just some of them?

Are you currently syncing or uploading any files to the folder in question? Is the folder shared or private?
