How can I share a link to a file, which doesn't allow editing of photos?

I'm confused how to allow viewing only, and NOT allow editing, of photos in a Dropbox file that I've sent to various people.

Just to clarify: I've sent the link to various people, not the file itself.

Hi RexH, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are you sharing a file with Dropbox users directly, or a shared link to a file?

Did you give the file edit access or read-only access?

This will help me to assist further!

I copied the link to the file and sent it to the people I want to allow to see it.  I do not want them to be able to edit the photos in the file, only to be able to view them.  But I don't understand how to control this.

Did you follow the steps in this article to create a read-only shared link?
