How can I turn off the expiration date on a shared link?

Can someone tell me how to get rid of an expiration date on a shared file?  I've tried everything & nothing works.  Unless I pay for to be able to do this, which is ridiculous.  I just need to share 2 files with someone.  Thanks in advance.

    Can you try following the steps in this article, to turn off the expiration date and see if that helps?
