I can find a file uploaded to a sharing link
I need to receive a file which is too large to be sent via email. So, I created a folder and sent the author of the file a 'sharing link' so the could upload the file into my new folder - I have lots...

Hi Nancy,
They used the Dropbox generated link from an email I sent to access the folder. When they were in Dropbox they did see a file which I had placed in the folder, which I created, as a way to verify they were in the correct folder.
So, I have every reason to believe they were in MY shared folder.
Although Dropbox said it had uploaded the file, they indicated that they did not see the file.
Are there any specific questions that I could pass along to them? Possibly their answers might provide something more specific to assist with identifying the problem. Also, I don't believe they have a Dropbox account.

2 years agoHey aksmith141 - sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that it wouldn't be possible for them to upload to your shared folder without a Dropbox account.
Do you or your friend see any signs of the missing file in your events page?
