I have a shared folder, but every file I put in seems to be locked.
I volunteer with a local hospital radio station. For one of the programmes I do, we have shared a Dropbox for at least ten years and have never had an issue.

Thanks for the research. Will read that shortly.
The Xs only appear on the other machine, not mine and only on files I add at my end. (I do have other cloud services running on my machine but that won't affect the remote machine.)

1 year agoHey CarlW, I'd also suggest logging in with admin privileges on the computer that shows this issue, if you haven't already.

As I said, there is one shared folder already which doesn't have that issue so I really don't understand why this one does. I have the same privileges with both folders as they are on the same remote machine.
