I have a shared folder, but every file I put in seems to be locked.
I volunteer with a local hospital radio station. For one of the programmes I do, we have shared a Dropbox for at least ten years and have never had an issue.

The Xs only appear on the other machine, not mine and only on files I add at my end. (I do have other cloud services running on my machine but that won't affect the remote machine.)

2 years agoHey CarlW, I'd also suggest logging in with admin privileges on the computer that shows this issue, if you haven't already.

As I said, there is one shared folder already which doesn't have that issue so I really don't understand why this one does. I have the same privileges with both folders as they are on the same remote machine.

Sure. Same files; different folders. Top one is original folder that is +10 yrs old. Bottom is new folder < 1 yr old.
