I need a guide on how to operate and sync with the Dropbox app - my files are not syncing

I have dropbox on phone, i pad and desktop which is the main source of use and work on original files on desktop but they dont update on others and dont update in dropbox.com.

Help is a misnomer because all too often it tells what you can do without telling you HOW TO

I need a dummies guide, at nearly 80 my brain does not see the obvious, I need help on HOW to do things, but mostly to keep my files updates everywhere.

Sele3ct a tag it says - but how and where, please stop assuming a level of knowledge from your users, we are not all tech savvy.

    Hi, It seems to be working now but I don't know what it was or what I did, and I'm not going to look!

    I completely understand where you're coming from here, so let's see how we can help!

    Firstly, I want to look into your syncing issue; if you're adding files using your desktop, but they're not syncing to your account online and other connected devices, the issue probably lies with the Dropbox desktop app.

    Please hover over the small Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar and let me know what you see. Is there an error message in the sync status?

    Keep me posted and we'll go from there.
