Job reached maximum retry attempts
When I try to upload a PDF in gmail, I get error "Job reached maximum retry attempts". How I can fix it?
Hey all,
Quick update on this. We've made some changes on our side that should improve the success rate for saving files to your Dropbox via the Gmail Chrome addin. The underlying cause behind the degradation in performance appears to be caused by an issue with attachment links that Gmail is providing us, so we've reached out to them to try and resolve this fully.
As always, once I have more information to share I'll loop back here with an update!

Hi Dallas645,
My name is Frank and I'm a specialist at Dropbox. We recently had a bug with our Gmail integration that was causing it to not appear for some users, and may be related to the error message that you and some other users are seeing.
As a first step to try and resolve problems with the extension, can you please clear the cache and cookies of your web browser? An additional step that you can try if cearing cache and cookies is not enough would be to disable any other plugins that you may have recently installed to your web browser.
Let me know if you still encounter the error after trying the above, thank you!

I tried with the solution of cleaning the cookies and cache but it's not working.
Do you have any update about a fix for this bug ?

I have tried clean the cookie and cache. Unistall and re-install the extension in Chrome. All in vain.
It would worked (saving to dropbox from Chrome-Gmail), sometimes, when I restart the computer. But more oftern than not, it doesnt work.

Frank, has there been any resolution to this issue? It continues to persist ever after cache cleaning and plug disabling. Would love a resolution date for this extremely useful feature that is now gone :(

Hey all,
Apologies for the delayed response here. I haven't been able to reproduce any issues with the Gmail extension since my last reply on this thread, however this is clearly still a problem for many people so will investigate further and follow up with our engineers.
Will post an update here once I have an update, thank you all for your patience.
Regards,
Frank
