Solved

Make available offline does not work on my macOS 15.5 computer

Device
MacBook Air M4 (2025)
Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
Mac OS 15.5
Dropbox App Version (if using the app)
232.4.5988
Syncing Status
”Syncing”

I recently got a new computer and I am trying to download my dropbox files to the computer. All of my old files (from before the computer change) are marked as online only. When I try to use them, or press Make Available Offline, they don’t download. Sometimes (not always??) The download icon starts to show, but it gets stuck just after it started. Dropbox syncing status says ”Syncing”. If I pause syncing and then put it back on, it says ”Syncing 7 fles … 10.9 GB”, but does not make any progress. I have no problem accessing the internet, the connection is perfectly fine. I have my old laptop on the same table and everything works as expected.

I don’t’ know if it’s Dropbox or Mac OS, but something seems to prevent files from downloading.

Any ideas?

/Joel
