My PLN files lose all the information in it, apart from their filename, why?

Hello.

I have problem for few months already. Some of our files get left only with name and lose all of information what it`s include. And interesting, that these files are only PLN files who act like this. There wasn`t any kind of action from our side, it just happen ion several folders. Shows, that files size is only 64kb, and it`s for each whom it happened.

Maybe there is possibility to recover them or .... I don't know.

Thanks.

Hi Ragnar93, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are the files originally being uploaded with that amount of information, or are they definitely changed at some point to lose all their data?

Can you see the version history of one of the affected files? This will tell you which user and device uploaded and changed the file, which might help narrow this down further.

This will help me to assist further!

File originally was uploaded in bigger size.

In version history - there is only one activity (file edited by my college).
As we remember, there was Update and it happened to many files, than then they recover after few days except 2. Booth of them stayed in 64 sizes and not usable any more. Is there possibility of server faults or maybe a file format misunderstanding after updates?

Just to check, when you say there was only one activity in the version history, do you mean this was the original upload, and no edits since then?

What program are you using to open these files, and how are you uploading them to the Dropbox account?

Are you able to recover the version history of that file if there is an older version with a larger size?
